It doesn't seem like a very good signing, and I would have preferred to keep Callahan. But everyone overreacting seems a bit much. Maybe Nagy and/Pagano have some connection with him and see something they like or can fix. There are a lot of variables at play. He has been a pretty solid corner before this past season, right?

The last couple years have allowed Pace to have the benefit of the doubt IMO. So while it is not the signing I would have made, I will wait and see the dude in a Bears uniform before I get too bothered.

What does he do on the field other than cover a TE decent? He doesn't get after the QB, he doesn't force fumbles, or create turnovers. His claim to fame was breaking Rodgers two seasons ago. As a Bears fan I am very pleased the Vikings will be emptying their remaining cap space on this very average/replaceable part.

The Vikings have Hunter and Griffen, and rush Harrison Smith a lot. They don't really assign the task of sacking the QB to their strongside LB. Especially since Joseph and Richardson can get to the QB often.
