Le'Veon must not be related to Todd.

You know the NFL is fucked up when one guy can turn down $14.5M and get even more money the next year, while 90% of the players in the league will never make that amount in their careers.

Bell will be one of those guys that will play 3 years out of his 5 year deal and then hold out again.

Says the guy who's QB rankings are universally mocked.

Which word definition do you struggle with more - universally or mocked?

I'd say there is a 1% chance this dummy gets more money than the 14.5 he turned down last year.

I'd say that is a 1% chance you haven't stuck a butter knife into an electrical outlet.

Bell may not get $14.5mil this season, but he will end up with a deal that gives him more guaranteed money than that. smh.

He'll never get that 14.5 back though. It was an awful decision and he regrets it ( unless he's the dumbest man to ever put pads on)

It's not really about the 14.5 though. Every player could make more money in their career by playing 1 year deals. But the injury risk on any given season could negate the rest of the career.

Is this gamble worth it you?
You have a 80% chance at 75 Million with a 20% chance at 14.5
or
99% chance 60 Million and you save a year of wear and tear on your body.

Doubt there is much life style change between 60 and 75 million. But that gap between 14 and 60 is huge.

The news was first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, who also reported the details of the contract: four years, $52.5 million with $35 million guaranteed and the possibility to go up as high as $61 million with incentives.

Even if Bell got hurt he'd still get that second big contract, it was dumb..he lost out on 14.5 million and it's never coming back.
