Lawrence was "bragging" about this the other day. How operating without a contract is "Good" because it provides him with flexibility, just like being passed over time and time again for a full time day hosting job provides him "flexibility" to pursue side ventures.

Yet nobody is more happy to send pics of himself signing a contract on social media. And no Score House invite (although I guess his broadcast hours would probably get in the way of the fun of Score House.)

I would almost rather see Laurence get let go from the station than Garfield.

Agreed, I haven't heard Dicaro's voice in 6 months.

There is literally no night time spots available for a talk show at the SCORE. I mean Larry doesn't work much at all. 90% is games.

Bulls, Cubs, NFL Thursday and Monday, DePaul, Illinois.

So the SCORE can just get a dumb producer to fill any time that is needed for $50 a shift.

Shep: $50? Hot damn!!!! Golly gee, I'll take it.

See what I mean.

Garfield is too busy writing her book to take on any more shifts. She even said she was taking less weekday shifts to work on it. That actually sounds like someone setting themselves up with an excuse for when they have ZERO shifts.

Doesn't Laurence have a place in Aizona that he used to let guys stay at during spring training in the past?

Like him or not, Laurence is a pro. And he's hustled himself into some great jobs.

Julie sits around and complains things aren't given to her.

Agreed. Laurence is everywhere. Good for him.

I said basically the same thing about David Haugh in another thread.

A successful career as the Trib's leading sports columnist, cohost of the city's top rated sports talk radio show and he's also a regular on Kap's STL television show.

Love him or hate him, Haugh has a great sports media career in this town.

Agree with you entirely about Larry and Haugh.

However, we should know by now that the payment for being a guest on STL is just restaurant gift cards.

 Yep - just think how fortunate the next couple who marry will be with Haugh's gift of dozens of cards. They can order out dinner free for about a month.

That's an insult to Haugh, he landed a full time show on the score that pays 3x what Larry is making..and Larry has been there 20 years, Haugh 3 months.

No contract for Holmes??? What's he thinking??? He needs to get one of those Iron clad contracts like Goff had, just for security!

Where's Don Draper to remind us that no contract means LoHo holds all the power? They want him, but can't have him.

He’s busy guesting on shows that air on Sinclair. Never thought he was a white supremacist in addition to being white .

Probably the best host currently on the Score--which says as much about the station's decline as it does about Laurence's ascent.

He does a very professional job. Not sure why people get on him. Sure he does things worthy of jabs but not that hard. Anyway, I can assume because he works so hard at various jobs some of it must be his choice to not have demanded a full time part more in day time?

Guys, Lawrence is horrible. And he's fucking weird. He really is. It's like a backup QB that performs well in spurts, gets overpaid and shits himself in a starting job. You hear a little bit and maybe think "he isn't that bad", but really he is. There is a reason he gets passed by time and time again for a daytime slot.

You overstate. I did not say he is awesome. I said he is very professional. He is fine.

He's certainly not the best host on the Score, as TM stated. Far from it.

I don't go out my way to listen, but when he is on I don't change the channel as Holmes is fine most of the time. Only time it is PTFB for me is when he starts talking about Comics or Superhero movies.
