This and also NME's post. Why should the NFL or any sport be in this arena at all. Personally, unless I was prevented by by laws I would cut him as soon as I knew. That is my prerogative. But all of us wringing our hands should not be necessary other than making sports talk and tv topics.

If there are any issues with players at all the law and courts will deal with them. Teams that wish to deal with crap like that will sign them if the law is done with them if they choose. Fans and viewers will choose to view or follow those players or not i.e. Mike Vick.

I guess you can claim the NFL has the responsibility for its image but that is only true if the problem becomes so big actual revenue is affected. Is it? A couple players a year not likely.
