Ozzie's threat of massive line up changes was bullshit like we all knew it was. There is nothing to do. He could have played Anderson for Swisher and he didn't even do that. He just flipped Konerko and Dye.

Meanwhile, we get the Royals. Just what we need. They lost 12 in a row before beating the Indians 2 out of 3. Grienke is good. We get him tonight. We've had success off him in the past.

Then we get two dogs pitching for the Royals. 2 guys with huge ERAs. We need a sweep. We need some blow outs too.

No. You can't do that. He's best at the bottom. He serves as a lead off man batting 9th after the 1st inning. But you'd rather have Cabrera get more at bats.

I get your point but Cabrera is not an ideal leadoff man. They still need one.

Ramirez still has less than 100 AB's. I like how he's swinging the bat lately though. Still far too early to tell how he's gonna be.

Ramirez isn't ideal either. He's still a raw wild swinger. Yes, he's had some success but you leave him 9th. Cabrera has been better lately too.

Maybe it's personal time for Baines but it's weird seeing Boston there. He wasn't on the Sox staff before today right?

Grienke actually is a good pitcher. 2.88 ERA coming in. But he is 0-4 at the Cell in his career.

Man, I really love watching Ramirez hit. Of course cuz he's going well. But he just has that appeal to where it's fun to watch him hit. I don't know how to explain it.

Uribe won't get his job back. Ramirez has a clue and probably has the same power as Uribe. Plus he's our future and Uribe only has a one year deal.

I'd rather watch Ramirez bat .230 over Uribe's .230. Maybe Ramirez can hit .275. That would be great.

They both have good arms but Ramirez has better range at 2nd.

You guys might call me crazy but Ramirez reminds of a young Sosa when he played for the Sox. Similar stance. Both skinny and fast. Great arms.

Ramirez can't do steroids so he won't change like Sosa.

I'd have thrown Swisher's HR back.

Funny at bat by Ramirez in the 8th. Fouled off like 6 straight pitches after falling down 0-2 and then got a base hit. He's hitting the ball really well lately, but wont take a ball to save his life.

First off I'm glad the Sox won, but I thought it was a very sloppy win at that. Not holding baserunners at first, less than stellar pitching from OD causes me some concern. I know that a four run cushion is nice, but you have to step on a teams' throat when you have the chance.

Alexei Ramirez should be leading off, especially given the lack of speed on this roster. Three more hits tonight for #10, keeping Juan Uribe literally stuck to the Sox bench since he got activated off the disabled list. Since he replaced Uribe in Anaheim & San Francisco, Ramirez has raised his batting average about 165 points after a very slow start. While #10 needs to cut down on his swing, he's getting more comfortable at the plate, and seems to have range at second base. Ramirez is playing so well right now, that Uribe's days in the Sox silver & black appear to be numbered. Ramirez has wrestled away the second base job, and he's playing so well, Pablo Ozuna won't see the field much, let alone Danny Richar anytime soon from Triple "A" Charlotte. This from the one that has maintained that Richar would be up before Jerry Owens...Not Anymore!

No. The 9th spot is perfect for a young, 1st year, free swinging player like Rameriz. He doesn't take pitches.

As the 9th hitter other teams take him lightly. He won't have success as the lead off guy. Keep the pressure off him. Let him learn where he is.

Cabrera has been hitting in that 1 spot recently anyway.
