Yeah, but you guys are all gonna wake up tomorrow and realize you're still not driving a Range Rover.

But Christ, is it really worth it for Goff? I mean the time and travel to get down there. I know they pay for that. But then what does he make to broadcast a high school game? I mean cuz nobody but the family and friends of the kids watches this shit. $100 per game? $200 tops. It's 1,000 viewers tops. And that's a stretch. So Comcast doesn't bill much for commercials.

I mean Goff could make more money doing being an Uber driver during the extent of the trip. I'm actually serious. Plus the time spent away from the family. And being in racist Central Illinois.

Les seems to have eked out quite a comfortable life doing a little less than Jason has. Who knows? And good for Les.

And they ate at Bob Evans where they encountered racism by the locals. Dirty looks and probably the "N" word by a few 80+ year old crackers.

Don't muddy the waters soyboy, do you think Parkins or Silvy would do it? They both love hoops too.

Parkins, yes, and then everyone would yell at him for gobbling up an opportunity that could have gone to talent that isn't hosting afternoon drive. ("Look, guys, I was just happy to be ashked.") I don't know anything about Silvy.

He does make stuff up. But I could actually see this happening. I've ate at the Bob Evans in Champagne. I was scared of those racist crackers and I'm fucking white.

Maybe Larry and Goff agreed to just go through drive thoughs and eat at the hotel to avoid the KKK as much as possible. Just do the games, get paid and get back to the NORTH as quick as possible.

A lot of people could drive a Range Rover. I could go buy one for cash. Why blow huge money on a status symbol? Invest the difference between a RR and a Ford /Chevy in a no load balanced fund or etf. Even if he was making 300k at the score buying a car that's possibly 1/3 of take home pay doesn't speak too highly of his value of a dollar ,or budgeting.

Over 25% of the residents in Peoria, IL are African American. I'm guessing Goff and Holmes fit in well there.

Broadcasters, especially ones without regular contracted gigs, are always looking to take a paying job. Plus, it gives them recent material to add to their resumes and demo tapes.

That's how the broadcasting biz works. Don't let your dislike or disdain for certain individuals affect your thought process. These guys are just trying to make money and further their careers.

Amazing that two guys working in the sports business would be announcing hoops on a Saturday night.

What's next, plumbers fixing pipes???

Good luck getting Parkins or Silvy down there for highschool hoops.

Parkins has a week end gig doing national radio that no one outside of dolphin actually listens to.

Has Silvy ever done play by play anywhere?

I recall a couple of years ago wandering through ESPN3 streaming and finding one ginger haired genius doing PBP of one of the I-AA football semifinals up in Wisconsin.

But what I find funny about LoHo touting this is that he NEVER talks about high school sports on his evening show. At least Hood used to do High School Hollah for the last hour on Friday nights during the football season.

At the beginning of Holmes show last night, he stated after they were offered the IHSA gig, he had to check with Goff, to make sure
the money was "good", apparently their demands must have been met...

Plus LH wants to do Kap's current TV show if Kap goes to Marquee, so kissing up to the CSN folks is a plus. Might be part of the reason he's supposedly working without a contract right now.

Larry has a lot of potential options. Goff is damaged goods in Chicago media. Interesting how much Larry will put his neck on the line to help him. I'm sure Larry has Goff on a tight leash when they work together, as not to be associated with any controversy to fuck up his career possible climb.

He's been on Kaplan's Comcast show, and on Fox Sunday Night show. He seems to get some ESPN radio work from time-to-time, but really why would be be given another full-time radio shot when he's been a pain in the ass who did not deliver great ratings?

Contrary to popular belief, you can make quite a career for yourself calling High School sports! I've been on the Milford beat for quite some time, and just love the fire and passion associated with our little community. A year or so back there were rumors flying around about a possible afternoon drive time slot at a major market sports radio station, I chose to stick to what I love best and leave the social justice and sabermetrics to the really smart guys, and just stick to the local beat. Go Mudlarks!

Goff and Larry should sell heroin for extra scratch.

Remember when Goff once bragged that he hangs out with gang members. Some bad ass mother fuckers. They can help Larry and Goff get in the game.

I hear selling heroin is very lucrative. And no taxes. Larry can be the brains of the operation. Goff can be the runner. They split it 40-40. I get 20% for coming up with the idea.

Larry: You know, Beardown, you need some help.

Goff: You are one crazy cracker.

Beardown: So, is that a no?

Goff: We'll think about it.

Larry: What?

Beardown:
