Coaches can challenge pass interference calls - whether flagged or not starting next year.

Hmm. I thought most seemed against this. We are going to have many delays.

It is but I get it. The refs brought it on themselves with that Saints Rams game. There’s a good chance that will be the worst blown call, considering how blatant it was and the situation and stakes, ill ever see in my life in any sport. They had to do something.

This will sound idealistic, but I think they should lessen replay. It has turned the refs into cowards. This is definitely a reaction to the Saints, but that was a one-off. More often than not, they are calling it too much. IMO.

If they keep the same number of challenges, it shouldn't be too bad. I'm not sure what will happen at the end of games if the refs have discretion when to review.

That is my fear. Not fixing blown calls. But coaches and receivers begging for a Ticky tack call every other play. They already prance around like NBA crybabies looking for their and one

I’m all for eliminating replay ENTIRELY. It’s sports, not life and death. Let there be a human element and let’s stop making every regular season Jets Titans game a 3.5 hour slog fest of unwatchable bullshit.

Fuck the NFL and it's referees! I know I'm doing that right.

I wish they'd eliminate replay in all sports as well. It's fucking up the games.

The NFL needs to copy college. Take it out of the coaches hands.

College football games are like 6 hours long though. That’s not a system I’d look to replicate.

Just get rid of it.

For those that don't know, this was passed as a 1 year trial rule only. They will need 24 teams to vote Yes in the next offseason for it to become a full time rule.

Why? .. these refs throw flags on phantom PI when a receiver throws a temper tantrum. Then they miss blatant muggings.

The worst thing the NFL did was the targetting rule, these dipshits throwing flags on good clean hits is killing the game.

Replay whatever you want with a 2 replay limit, if you can't decide if you should overturn the call after seeing it twice, it's not very conclusive now is it?

Absolutely terrible.

There was a reason they didnt make PI reviewable to begin with. BECAUSE IT'S A FUCKIN JUDGMENT CALL.

What, now ur gonna have ticky-tack shit called just because u got it in Slo-Mo?

Fuck NFL fans, fuck outcries, and fuck Sean Payton for not having the discipline to just move past this. It's not the reason u lost the damn game.

You were at home, u shoulda won the game anyway.

It should be noted this is just a trial for 1 year. When people see how pathetic it is, they will cancel out of it.

Modern fans are idiots. More like trial judges than actual football fans. Fuck them.

no they dont. Fans like you do.

It's inevitable u might have a blown call now and then. A badly blown call happens once in a blue moon.

Leave it alone and get over it. For every time it fucks u up, it will go your way the next time. What's wrong with having a human and divine element to the damn game?

as the NFL moves toward acknowledging the main reason anybody cares about 90% of regular season NFL games is because they have money on the game replay will inevitably expand; as getting the "right" result trumps entertainment value when people have money on the game.

who will pull the first john fox and challenge for a defensive PI call only to have the refs come back to say it was actually offfensive PI?
