Congrats!! I had a little motivator application where you put in how much you smoked and the price of cigs, and it would run on your PC and show you how much money you saved. Back then, it was $2.25 a pack in Illinois.... I had it on the computer for probably three years after I quit and the money was in the thousands. I imagine now it would be even more crazy.

Did that the next morning. For some reason it won’t let me post a pic, might from my computer when I get back to it in the morning but here’s what it currently says

Non smoker since: 4 days
Cigarettes not smoked: 62
$ saved: 23.62

I wasn’t super accurate with my squares per day tho and refuse to pay for the advanced version of the app

Always. Will never abandon my brothers on #TeamWeed. Sounds like it’s close to curing our brother shakes chronic back problems.

Now you have $23 bucks to put into a good Scotch/Whiskey :) Or you can make 60 servings of IMU's pasta salad!

I thought about what I would do with the savings until I realized I would probably just spend it on other dumb shit

Hopefully some non cancerous dumb shit though!

That smooth Carolina smoke still has it's tobacco stained claws in you. It always will. It will sing it's sweet song and drip it's nicotine love into you soon enough.

It calls out for you, you need it, you want it. Pick up that perfect tube of flavored goodness, strike a match ...watch the flames flicker and dance....light the smoke....take a deep puff....hold it in your lungs. Let it permeate the tissue, make love to your brain....you need it....want it.

Let go, FavreFan. Let it embrace you.

Dance.

By the way, this is beautiful. If tommy ever gives up his reign as top poster it will be because SomeGuy came back like the Poster Who Was Promised and took that mantle.

Great work. Denis will back me up on this, the decision to not smoke can be a $1 million swing over the course of one's life. https://www.nerdwallet.com/banking/calc ... calculator

Nice job and good luck staying 'quit' FF.

Think about continuing to put this cigarette money aside and in 6 months or a year, use it to take a trip or buy yourself something really nice.

4 days is a small sample size but good luck. I am off them for 3.5 years and off vape for a year now. I used the vape over a very long time to wean down to zero nicotine. Was the only way I could get the longevity in quitting. Of course my over the top OCD made it much worse so hope you got this. The other thing that got me at first attempts was the being in a social drinking situation. So many times the late in the night bumming of smokes got me.

my work took me through tobacco warehouses and cigarette plants (ie where they make them). smells so damn good. I love cigars and would live with one in my mouth if it not potentially deadly.

always avoided cigarettes as I watched my grandfather die from emphysema.

now you can join the running thread.

I love cigars too but rarely smoke them these days. I’m grateful I never started cigarettes as I’m the type of person who would light his next cigarette with the one he’s smoking. Hell, I’m a chain gum chewer when I buy gum

One that comes from a room with lots of oak furniture, rich, luxurious rugs and a vast array of leather bound books?

And is a gift.

I always wanted a room like that...with carved, wooden walls, too. Judge Garth on The Virginian has one. And Scotch. I don't drink or smoke, but Scotch seems like a nice touch.

A gift always makes it better. Thst better be fine Corinthian leather.

A lot of my cigars were gifts from father in law. Some were good and some I think we’re not treated well (probably got them for that reason).

I let Riccardo Montalban assist in my leather selections, so it's quite naturally Corinthian.

Congrats, FF.

The Vape and gum....it's all bullshit. If anything, it's a crutch and an invitation to go back.

I've quit....your flat out sick for a few days. as that subsides, your mind fucks with you for the next 2 weeks that you want one. It does go away eventually.
