Meh.. bad trade but the Bear shot themselves in the foot by making it no secret that the dude was unwanted, therefore devaluing him in the 1st place. So the options were.. head into 1 last season with him and lose him for nothing at seasons end or trade now and get at least something in return. I guess all things considered they did what they had to, but that doesn’t change the fact that you got taken for a ride value wise straight up.

Pace has had 1 good season as Bears GM so far is how I see it, and that was last season. It can easily be argued that while he hasn’t lost anything crucial this off season, he really hasn’t made any moves that improve the team either. And he doesn’t have much of a draft to work with this year to move that needle much.

Btw, how in the fuck do you not at least get a pick for this upcoming draft lol?

Like you said, everybody knew the Bears were trying to move him thought, btw, the Bears didn't do anything to spill the beans, any schmuck watching the games - let alone other professional football franchises - could very easily see he just didn't belong here and the only logical move for the Bears to dump him for whatever they could lay their hands on.

So the answer to your question is, quite clearly, nobody in the NFL offered anything better ... duh.

I was being a bit rhetorical there Don. Calm down.

Don’t ever calm down Don. A fired up Don Tiny is the best Don Tiny. Even, or maybe even especially, when he’s calling me a dingus mid tirade.

Jordan Howard never breaks the first tackle? Don, you’re far too good of a sports poster to post something as nonsensical as that my friend.

Well, technically, I didn't. It's a quote. I'm very obviously not trying to push it as absolute truth, dingus ... the point, though, is he's a lot closer to terrible at breaking tackles - including the first one - than he is to being good, never mind great.

I mean... I don’t know man. That opinion simply doesn’t align with reality. Not sure what else to say.

If you don’t like him fine, but to act like literally his biggest strength is non existent is bizarre. He’s a phenomenal short yardage RB and I don’t think he forgot how to play football last year after two great initial seasons. Nagy is a really good coach so I’m not saying it’s a big black mark on him for being unable or unwilling to use Howard how he should but to somehow pin that on Howard is simply ignorant imo.

6th in rushing attempts
14th in rushing yards
22nd in rushing yards per game
39th in rushing yards per attempt

I'm fine with taking our chances with the unknown.

Well, right, because Nagy was unable or unwilling to use him how he should be used, like I just said. John Fox wasn’t a better coach than Walt Williams Neck would be by his last year and still got top 10 RB production out him despite 8 man boxes and horrible QB play so I find your argument severely insufficient.

We’ll see how he plays and in what role he’s utilized next year.

I haven't the slightest interest whatsoever as to what you find to be insufficient. Who the hell are you, John Houseman?

Jordan didn't fit here. It's not on Nagy to change everything to suit Howard. I'm open to the idea that he will do fine in Philly, possibly even better than he would here. I am not, however, open to the idea that anyone will mistake him for Saquan Barkley or Joe Mixon. Nor am I open to the idea that not having Jordan Howard changes the fate of the Bears' 2019/20 season.

I think they don’t care and just re-ban you whenever you go into your Hitler Youth thing again. But I’m just spitballing there and might be wrong.

'Brutal' is likely not the absolute best choice of word.

Howard has to run down hill out of the I formation to be successful. Nagys system requires a back that can run successfully out of a shot gun formation take a few steps laterally and shoot the hole. That isn't Howard and no Nagy isn't changing his offense for a back as mediocre as Jordan Howard.

Jalen Ramsey is probably going to be the best player to change teams his off-season. FF doesn't want to hear that but it's true. And as long as he isn't dealt between now and the end of the first round in this year's draft the Bears have more than enough assets and money to bring him to Chicago.

You all laughed when I said the same thing about Mack last year too.

I’m positive you did not call Mack to the Bears last year at this time  FOH

Yes, if you guys traded for Ramsey that would suck hard. Luckily you don’t have the resources to do it so it’s a moot point.

I guess they could theoretically do it but it would take a Mack-like hall and it’s not a particular weakness so it really doesn’t make sense, especially considering you don’t even know if Mitch is good enough to win a SB with yet.

Traded to GB at the deadline for a 6th round pick (Pace seems to not mind trading good productive players for 6th round picks)

I’m a big Jordan Howard fan and that predates even Nagy being hired. More than anything I’m annoyed GB couldn’t offer more than a 6th rounder. I don’t get why the team likes Jamal williams so much. He’s a great pass blocker but terrible at everything else and I would absolutely love having Howard as the thunder to Aaron Jones lightning.

You’ll know when I’m trolling Bear fans. Thinking Howard is a good RB ain’t it. That’s just an objective fact.

Well, you’ve posted 32 times in this thread. ~25% of all posts, out of 100s of people on this CHICAGO FMB. And you’re not Bears fan, so you are indeed trolling.

I would like to discuss Bears moves with other Bears fans. Yes, I’m a meatball. Can’t you just start a separate thread for “Packers fans that would like to critique Thr Bears?”

Maybe some people would engage with you.
