His stat line is right where it's been for his career, they are shutting him down so he doesn't get hurt. It's also gonna be tough to convince a top tier FA to come to that shit show. They could try to explain the season away with LBJ being out X amount of games, even though they were out of it for months.

Not to restart a whole MJ thing but do you think he would ever end a season sitting out if not hurt? I think even washybad MJ still wanted to cut your heart out every game.

And they really didn't improve all that much once he returned. They had a soft schedule early. They were cooked the minute they started playing better teams.

Lebron no longer even deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as MJ.

Lebron is in the same tier as MJ, but Jordan is still at the top.

Lebron hand picked his teammates and his coaches. Has no one to blame but himself.

Not only is the "LeBron is a great teammate" story dead, but so is the story that LeBron is a nice guy at all. It didn't really matter when talking about the debate vs. other past greats but it was brought up all the time. His entourage and him seem to make life hell for everyone including the commissioner.

Quote:
In November, NBA commissioner Adam Silver and Maverick Carter, LeBron’s longtime business partner, met for lunch. James’ agent, Rich Paul, was seated at a nearby table, and at one point, approached Silver to complain about Walton, multiple sources familiar with the interaction told ESPN. Paul said he didn’t believe Walton was the right coach for the Lakers. Silver shrugged off the remark and asked whom Paul thought would be the right coach. Paul suggested Tyronn Lue.

Paul was also letting it be known through back-channel conversations, including those with reporters, that he wasn’t on board with Walton. Paul criticized how Walton allotted minutes to players and his inconsistent lineups, which were partly the result of injuries and suspensions. Members of the Lakers’ coaching staff became aware of those conversations and wondered whether Johnson’s heated meeting with Walton was influenced by Paul.

Quote:
Given those perceptions, one former Lakers player described Paul’s presence on the team charter as a “culture killer.”

“Coaches know Rich is trying to get them fired, and players know Rich is trying to get them traded,” said one agent with ties to the Lakers, who called Paul’s presence on the plane “destructive.”

The spate of changes increased the workloads for several staff members -- and in one instance in 2017, a longtime female staffer was called into an office with Johnson and Pelinka after making a mistake, according to multiple staffers present and others familiar with the incident. The mistake, sources said, involved arranging a car service to the team's facility for a draft prospect.

"I don't stand for mistakes!" Johnson shouted at her. "I don't make mistakes."

Hmm. Never? Not even once?

That's what you get with LeBron - everyone has known about this for over ten years. That fact that the organization became so toxic is on the incompeten duo of Magic and Pelinka. Miami didn't let the entourage stuff take the organization down and Cleveland more or less navigated it just fine. The difference is Miami and Cleveland were set up to win while LA was always an odd choice for LBJ. If they're in the finals right now then no one cares about this deadspin story. Again it's nothing new as far as LBJ is concerned but it does just underscore how bad magic is at anything other than basketball and maybe a few business ventures.

Wait so LeBron is not some genius with the highest basketball IQ ever, who should run for office someday? He's just a supremely gifted athlete?

The fact that Miami and a quality organization like Cleveland could overcome what you "get with LeBron" does not help his legacy at all.

If LeBron has been like this his whole career then he is a terrible teammate.

The players themselves voted him as someone you want to play with. Shall I believe the players speaking about themselves or shall I believe you speaking about the players?

Lebatard just said on his previous segment Pat Riley absolutely restricted and shut down the access of Lebron’s entourage.

Cleveland let it all happen.

Miami did make concessions but they managed it better than Cleveland and LA. That's because Riley knows what he's doing.

Cleveland did just fine during LBJ's second reign there.

Yet Kyrie couldn't wait to get away from him, Kevin Love was mistreated his whole time in Cleveland by LeBron, and the big time free agents seem to have no interest in playing with him.

Kyrie took that back this year. It was a big story. What is the source of Love being mistreated? Kevin Love is a world champion because of LBJ. I think he'll look back on his days with LBJ fondly.

That makes sense. He needed Riley and Miami to get him his first wins and show him how. After that he clearly seems to have changed some.
