Try this one. This was a few years removed from 1979's Dynasty. Probably around the Asylum-era. 80's KISS had some pretty good cheesy tunes and excellent riffs but it was mostly garbage. They didn't know what the hell to do or what they were after Vinnie Vincent came in a wrote some songs that saved them commercially.

KISS is a fascinating study.

oh my God. You're a man after my own heart. If you know who he is, we could probably talk drummers til sunrise.
I saw the Peter Gabriel "Us" tour and got to witness Manu in the flesh.
One of my all time favorites.

Might go right into Check Your Head or London Calling.

Best albums with B&W covers - light 'em up!

I miss bob marley's reggae songs. I feel connected with some of his song's lyrics. Makes me reminisce my childhood.

Good ole' fashioned post Creatures of the Night 80's (pretty good album) KISS.

Outdated, chasing trends, confused, alone with Gene looking like a glam Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer. Paul is gayer than ever. Great sonic version of the band, though. Some good songs from that era...but a lot of terrible ones. Bruce Kulick was great and so was Eric Carr.

They would be back to black, metal and leather for Revenge in the 1990s before they went to grunge with Carnival of Souls and then back to makeup reunion KISS shortly after.

Time is a flat circle.

RIP Eric Carr.

Truly something to look back. I'm loving their fashion trend in the 80's.

"Cranes in the Sky" might be the best song ever. But I am drunk.

Fantastic album and a great follow up to Hi N' Dry which was the best AC/DC album, not named Back in Black, in the 1980's.

Album was probably a tad overproduced but Mutt Lange was fine. Had more edge to it compared to Hysteria. Also the changing of the guard from Pete Willis to Phil Collen but are great.

If you have a change check out Rockplast 83 on Youtube, the performance of 'Rock Rock' is better than a lot of hard rock, AC/DC stuff from the 80's. Crazy how the changed over those few short years. Would have had a bigger stretch if Hysteria was released a year earlier and Adrenalize was released 1-2 years earlier and Steve Clark didn't die.

My favorite track is Stagefright.

Someguy,

This is a terrible soulless album by a terrible ripoff band, and nobody should really give a shit about post-Bon Scott AC/DC.

That being said, I genuinely enjoy reading your takes on music.

Joe Elliot has impeccable taste in music but his own band sucks. I can relate.

Are you drunk?

Those songs are awful, as is the Foreigner catalog more broadly.

You're nuts. Gramm's voice, Jones riffage, the keyboard/horn arrangements making up for the awkward lyrics - they had it all!

And then came Juke Box Hero...
