Give me one headline of an NBA player that's been arrested in the last month and I'll give five headlines of NFL players...

W_Z, it's pointless. For your own mental health and well-being, just leave it alone.

There are 53 football players on each of the league's 30 teams.

NBA only has 12 on a roster.

Of course there are gonna be more football players arrested.

so you guys actually are asking for proof of this? or do you just not read the news?

cos...there aren't a lot of NBA players being arrested in the last few years compared to NFL players...

but if you want the list, this is from 2006 alone...

List of NFL Players arrested

I will speak to what I am looking for only.

Just one time on this board I would like someone who talks shit to actually back it up. Not throw out red herings, or change the subject or change what you said you would provide.

So list the five names of NFL players arrested since Joakim or just say " I made a mistake" and I will move on together with you.

5/10/2008 Lofa Tatupu Seattle LB
Arrested on DUI charge. Arrest report said his blood-alcohol content was over .15.
5/3/2008 Cedric Benson Chicago RB
Charged with misdemeanor boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest in Texas.
5/3/2008 Michael Boley Atlanta LB

Seacrest, going out of your way to be insulting and jerkish is such an old and played out message board technique. I thought you were from Lovetron.

First off, I never said five names, I said five headlines. Second off, I was defending the NBA as it's (still?!) being considered a "thug" league. Third off, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN in the last 2-3 years if you think there aren't more NFL arrests than NBA arrests?

Joakim Noah was the first name in I don't know how long since an NBA player was arrested...there have been multiple NFL player arrests to that ONE arrest in recent memory.

But just so your instigating dumb ass doesn't have to ask again, I'll give you more than five:

Cedric Benson, RB, Chicago Bears
Nicholas Kaczur, OT, New England Patriots
Charles Grant, DE, New Orleans Saints
Lofa Tatupu, LB, Seattle Seahawks
Bryant McKennie, OT, Minnesota Vikings
Cedrick Wilson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
James Harrison, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Roscoe Parris, WR, Buffalo Bills

David Stern has cleaned up that sport much better than the other sports commissioners have in their respective sports. And I'm not talking about making his guys wear suits...

Nicholas Kaczur RT NE

Could we also add Marshawn Lynch as he does not respond to police trying to investigate a hit-and-run involving him?

well what was it, 2 seasons ago when almost HALF the roster of the Bengals was arrested?

and the NBA is still considered the "thug" league...

that's my point. the use of "past month" was obviously done for dramatic effect, but even if there haven't been *5*, the NFL is still more appropriately considered a "thug league" than the NBA.

It would be interesting to get a comparison between the NBA, NFL and MLB in terms of percentage of players in each league who have been arrested in the past five years.

I say this all the time and it never gets any response.

Please name me the last NBA player to spend over 1 year in jail.
I can name two in the NFL. Rae Carruth and Vick.

Please name me the last NBA player to go on trial for murder.
I can name Ray Lewis.

I'll name you my top 5 NFL "thugs" of the past 10 years. I beg of you to find 5 NBA players that come close.

Mike Vick.
Rae Carruth.
Ray Lewis.
Pacman Jones.
Chris Henry.

Anyone who thinks the NBA is the thug league care to come up with 5 players from the NBA with as much of a rap sheet? In fact, besides Ray Lewis who beat the charges, I don't think you could name an NBA player that would knock out a single person from the list.

You are up Seacrest. This should be easy for you.

I think Jayson Williams might be the answer to both questions.

Good call. The argument would be that he was out of the league for about 3 years at that point. I'm claiming OJ Simpson if we include former players. :)
