Sunday my daughter had her 1st communion and I had put in a catering owner via phone Wednesday night to Portillos. Should have got the name who I talked to, as you will see...Saturday night I show up at the time arranged to pick it up, and they can't find it. They check everything, my name, time ordered...can't find it.. but they won't admit that they lost my order, internally I am furious...so the one superior asked my order details... (I thought to help find it) but after I say it she quickly says no worries and then silently mouth lips to another worker to go "put it together". I also needed bread and as she tells them to get this ready.. the head manager, a larger African American man comes over tries to tell her there will be a wait for my bread..to which she basically tells him to piss off that I will get first dips on everything.

During this time, I am formulating in my head the rants.."When I called did the worker not write down the order?!?!, why don't offer confirmation emails/numbers?" etc..etc..but all the time I see that the one worker is doing her best to fix this. The hilarity is that it's clear they lost the order, but she is working her ass off to yes, cover their fuck up, but also keep me happy. I did have to wait about 5 min for them to cobble everything together, but I never blew up at them(even though I had a right to) and they worked to get me what I need.
