Seems very unlikely. Any sane, competent organization would though. Jerry doesn’t run those types of organizations though.

The only reason to fire Boylen is if there is a higher than competent coach out there who would actually agree to coach this team. Anybody who would apply for this job is either incompetent or a criminal Kelvin Sampson type, so why bother replacing the coach?

Would Luke Walton be an upgrade?

He wouldn’t be a downgrade I’m sure of that. I’m unsure if he would be much of an upgrade. Nas liked to call him the best young coach in the league but I’ve never seen any evidence of that.

I'm sure he's smart enough to want no part of the Bulls.

How big is the Rose overpay going to be? Considering how much GarPax bid against themselves for Wade and Parker merely being from the city and Rose actually did something for the organization, I anticipate it being pretty hefty. Can't be mad at Derrick for getting in on the hometown stimulus package, and I'm sure there will be some amazing photos of him on the billboards and other promotional material for next season.

I think it's gonna be Patrick Beverly.

The only way this team moves forward is by firing Foreman.

Nah I get what you’re saying but the “overpay” will still be tolerable. 2 years $15 million or something.

It’s going to be Elfrid Payton.

Saw this on social media today...don't really see much else out there about it. Anyone heard Cowley make such statements?

Quote:
As the Chicago Sun-Times reported, the Bulls and Lakers had discussions to send Lonzo Ball to Chicago. According to Joe Cowley, if the Bulls fall out of the Top 3 and miss out on Ja Morant, there’s a real chance they try to package the 4th pick (or 5th) and Kris Dunn for Lonzo Ball.

Those rumors go back to the trade deadline. I’d like the Bulls to get him but that’s way too much to give up.

That's insanity.

Of course the Bulls will do it.

Leave it to a Reinsdorf owned team to get fleeced by a team without a GM

At some point you’ll realize I was right and the motherfucker needs to die so we can compete again.

That's not on Reinsdorf. Reinsdorf probably thinks Lonzo Ball is a stretch exercise prop. He has no idea who that is. It's on Foreman.

Dunn for Lonzo is an even swap, the 4th pick included is getting raped. I don't want Ball here, he sucks.

Who do you think continues to employ GarPax?

Isn't he exactly what the Bulls current roster needs though?

Even if Coby White is somehow Steph Curry, and Lauri is Kevin Durant, and Lavine is Klay Thompson...he would be their Draymond.

So you think Butler with this current roster is a playoff team?

They need a PG, and I don't think White is going to be there at 7

I don't think White is a starting PG in the NBA. If they do draft him they will have to sign a FA to man the position for the next 2-3 years.

Wouldn't they need to pay him around $30Mish (at least)? I think they are projected to be around $21M right now. I know they have some garbage to dump, just not sure how creative they could get to make this happen.

At least early on, seem to be a lot more rumors about the Bulls trying to get a veteran PG via trade, and using the #7 pick as part of that deal.

Probably. And whatever PG is there at 7 is an upgrade over Dunn. Or a cheap FA vet. Not sure if Bulls can get Butler and Beverly but that puts the team in the playoffs.

Don't you have to make sure whatever PG you get is a killer from 3 point range these days?

I don't. I've always been against the PG being a team's top scoring option...or best deep threat. Besides, Beverly certainly isn't a butcher outside...he shoots about 40% from 3 his last 4 seasons.

The Bulls have 3P shooting covered. They need defense and smart, talented guards.

I would say yes. everyone needs to be a great 3-point shooter. that's what the game is today.

The 2019 MVP is a 25% 3P shooter making 0.7 per game.

KC Johnson can't be trusted for anything. We've gone over this time and time again.

That being said, it was at least more than one walking in and one walking out.

There was also at least one intimate tricep caress and shoulder pat.
