About 10 years ago I worked on an Aldermanic campaign where the incumbent was Dorothy Tillman. She'd been Alderman for about 24 years and she was a big proponent of reparations for African Americans. I tried to tell the guy whose campaign that I'd worked that he should campaign against it as it was something whose time had passed.

I don't get the feeling that most black people want reparations. I can't remember the last time that I've heard someone discuss it quite frankly.
