How the fuck does FedEx Home Delivery not require a signature on all packages, as compared to regular FedEx.

I ordered a bunch of furntiture from Wayfair to arrive at my new place in NC on Monday, as I am getting there on Sunday night. No problem, until one package ships early and ships from the closest distribution center. But there's an option of "change your delivery date" - great.

Except that FedEx wants to do a identity and address verification off of a soft credit check, which doesn't help if your lease started that morning and nothing has hit Experian yet.

So now I have a bed frame and dresser sitting in front of the garage door for the next four days, two of which are having thunderstorms. FedEx blames Wayfair for not requiring signature, not like the driver would have honored that anyway. I am on hold with Wayfair theateniing them with returning the item if they don't order FedEx to go pick it up.

FedEx Ground is by far the worst of the home delivery options out there.I flat out told Amazon I will never accept anything them as an option. I had a bed frame ,It clearly was marked on the instruction and my mailbox to call me so I could come down to meet them. all they did was leave it laying upright next to the building. Another time they dropped it off at the wrong address and tried to say they didn't until my neighbor called them with me standing next to them.Another time I had a replacement debit card overnighted to me,all they did was leave it in the storm door grating ,without a signature. Although it was clearly marked that it needed one. Fucking thing flew off into the front yard. lucky I found it.
