A star-crossed 2019 Triple Crown campaign took another massive blow Tuesday with the news that Kentucky Derby winner-by-disqualification Country House will not run in the Preakness May 18.

The Daily Racing Form quoted Country House trainer Bill Mott as saying the colt “developed a little bit of a cough this morning.” “His appetite is good,” Mott said. “He doesn't have a fever. But he's coughing. We drew blood. He's acting like he's going to get sick. He's off the training list, and if he's off the training list, he's off the Preakness list.”

Country House’s defection comes a day after the owner of disqualified Derby winner Maximum Security said that horse also would skip the Preakness. Gary West said on the “Today Show” that he doesn’t believe in running a horse twice in two weeks, and with the chance at a Triple Crown gone there was no reason to enter Maximum Security.

Pussification of America.

Someone make this horse watch the Jordan flu game on repeat.

GP's races today were all bad until the 5th. Small fields and no odds.

#3 Secret of Life. :salut: Nice job by the jockey to find an inside to get the win.

respectfully disagree...as long as the 7-Collins Ave holds at 5/2 or close to it I'm keying him in the only race that lends it self to the trifecta.

Good Luck!

There's some value on #6 False Info, but he isn't much of a winner. No value on the favorites.

Good job, but Collins Ave. not worth it at 2-1. False Info ran a big one, though not enough.

Hit the Tri there and alive to all, despite it's chalkiness :D

I like Belmont, particularly the turf...seems to play fair.

Very much against the 2 here at R5 at Belmont to win...lots of value in the 5, and 7 but particularly the 6 and the 8. Probably key box 8/all

#8 H-Man, baby! Had #2 Binkster, too, to win.

They went bid on #5 Real Dan, but his speed did not rate well. Pass.

JORR is pissed. H-Man is a Servis horse.

#2 Bronze Age has a chance in the 9th at GP at big odds.

Rates well in E1 and E2, and the distance is only 5f.

Not going to be greedy, will bet him show.

Aborted a mult thread called "Baffoe will win the Preakness" where he was going to carry pizzas on his back and then call the other horses problematic.

It didn't take Arlington long to get started with their thievery. #3 Checotah in the 1st went off at 4-1, but by the 1st quarter was down to 2-1, because he came out leading.

I hate bleeping Arlington. The track wins if they make fair bets losing bets after the start. Why even bother?

Watch for #7 Little Christina in the 7th at GP.

I'm not sure how Dom Carlos loses here if he gets any kind of pace to run at.

This isn't an Arlington thing. There are nefarious operations that employ strong computers to game the system. They look for value within the pool and bet aggressively at the last minute and with large $ to affect the pool. It sucks.

It doesn't mean they are correct, either.

Ask JORR.

Yeah, and the tracks are addicted to the handle they provide. It would improve the game if they kicked them out but nobody wants to take that step.

For the most part the big computer groups stay away from the rubber tracks.
