My post is dumb. I got it.

Question. What do you think of LaVine?

Why would Memphis trade the #2 pick for Lavine?

It was part of a handshake deal in the Justin Holiday trade?

jesus Christ, your Bulls thoughts are even more homer/idiotic than Nas'. Nas had the Bulls finishing no lower than 6th in the East this year. Your post is easily at that level of stupidity. Actually it's even dumber.

The draft is likely to go in one of two directions. Is there a more freakish athletic talent that they gamble on? Do they play it safe and take the best PG type available?

I can see them gambling some if they think they can land a competent, veteran PG in free agency.

I do believe that signing a veteran PG in free agency will make this team much better next season so this could be the last year (for at least a 2-3 year period) where they have a pick this high.

Paxson does draft well, and while he hasn't landed any stars also hasn't missed. It'll be interesting to see if he goes with a more logical/safe choice vs. an upside/bust type pick.

Either way, I expect the lineup to look like this, probably a team that competes and maybe gets back into the playoffs.

PF Markhanan
SF Porter
C Carter
PG -> Veteran 1 year deal type (Beverly/Rubio, etc.)
SF LaVine

Bench:
Valentin
#7 pick
Lopez??? Probably doubtful
Another veteran
Dunn

Denzel Valentine is a complete miss.
Tony Snell is a complete miss.
Jusuf Nurkic and Gary Harris were swapped for Doug McDermott on draft night.
Marquis Teague is a complete miss.
Norris Cole is a complete miss.
Kevin Seraphin is a complete miss.
Lamarcus Aldridge was swapped for Tyrus Thomas on draft night.

This lineup gets you to 30 wins. An 8 game improvement on 2018-19, but still bad.

Also, if I’m a Bulls fan I don’t think getting anywhere between the 6-8 seed in the Eastern Conference is going to make me excited. It shouldn’t. It’s more mediocrity.

I am more optimistic than you on taking a bigger step next season if they upgraded on Dunn. Dunn was pretty awful and that position should improve the play of others.

Saying that, even in my most optimistic view, it's hard to see them grow much a lower end playoff seed.

Somewhere, they still need to add a top 10 player and maybe two of them. While Lauri and LaVine can improve with experience, I don't think either will ever be considered elite.

I would really like the Bulls to be creative this off-season. I don't know what that means as far as options, but adding another rotation piece at #7 and a decent veteran PG would help the overall roster, and perhaps make them a playoff team, I hope they are thinking bigger than filling holes.

Gone when? He's a second rounder.

He's not as good as Brunson, that should give you an idea of where he fits in to the NBA. He can make a fit, but it's as a bench PG/SG instant offense type of player.

I'm confident saying he will have a better NBA career than Brunson. We'll see.

Bulls did not make the promise to Garland according to the Athletic. Many believe it’s the Suns.

He’s Isaiah Thomas. Give him a team and coach that knows how to use him and he’s gonna be good.

I believe there are also rumors that Coby White may have left the pre-draft yesterday with rumors of a promise of a top 7 team. Bulls would have to be considered a strong bet there if that occurred. Why would a team make a promise this high out? What if a trade developed?

On another note, any chance the Bulls could work something out with ATL to get their top 10 picks if they are looking to move some of their picks? I think they have 8 and 10.

That's recency bias talking. He's not better than Brunson, really not even close. Brunson was national player of the year his junior year, Edwards didn't even win conference player of the year this year. Brunson played with some great players, but lets not pretend that Edwards played with a bunch of bums. He played with multiple NBA players at Purdue. But, the key to the Brunson vs Edwards comp is that they don't even play the same position. Brunson is a pure PG. Edwards is an undersized SG. Brunson has already shown that he can be at worst a very effective/efficient back up PG in the league. As a small 2G Edwards is going to have a much tougher time finding a spot/role in the league.

Ironically, if Edwards is a first rounder it will be because of how well Brunson did this year. I said last year that Brunson should've been a first rounder and the Bulls should pick him with the pick they used on Hutchinson. It was a joke that he went in the second round. Some teams might look at that and think twice about passing on Edwards. But, in the end I think it's the lack of point guard skills that are going to cause Edwards to get drafterd a lot later than you think.

at least your not comparing him to Isaiah Thomas like dumbass FF.
