My dream scenario is that NOLA trades AD to LAL for #4, Lonzo and Kuzma.

Lonzo
Jrue
Zion
DeAndre Hunter
Kuzma

Not a bad start. Maybe even turn around and trade Jrue as well to try and get younger. Maybe PHX will give up #6 for him.

Davis is an idiot if he doesn't want to play with Zion. Zion at the point foward, AD in the post. A smart coach isn't going to play ZIon at the 4, ,only that dumb fuck ShaChefski did that.

No shit, when the NBA told the Bulls last year they had to start bums like Lopez, that probably wouldn't have even make a difference, or risk punishment the Bulls didin't get squat. The Pels need to be told to start a top 5 player and they get the #1. At least we can rule out the fix for a while.

That's a little different though. Davis publicly said he didn't want to be there anymore. That makes sitting him a little more justifiable than just simply tanking. I mostly agree with the following I read today:

All six of the teams with the NBA’s worst records this season—the Knicks, Suns, Cavaliers, Bulls, Hawks, and Wizards—will wind up picking lower than they would have had the NBA just doled out picks based on where you finish in the standings. None landed in the top two. Three of the teams that did end up in the top four—New Orleans, Memphis, and the Lakers—won at least 30 games and were at least within hailing distance of the playoffs before their seasons were detonated by injuries, trade demands, or top-down edicts to pursue a perhaps past-due rebuild.

In years past, those teams—the ones who at times were pretty good, but not quite good enough, and ended up bad, but not quite abysmal—would’ve had only a vanishingly small shot at catching a break to rise up the draft order and find themselves in position to draft a potential game-changer who could help them get closer to real contention in short order. But the institution of draft lottery reform to flatten out the odds changed that, and the result was carefully managed chaos. Ultimately, the new system should benefit several teams who generally made honest efforts to compete for most of last season at the expense of several teams that, by “going young” or essentially punting on point-guard play, more or less didn’t.

That’s a cold cup of coffee for teams like Atlanta and Washington, who were not actually trying to be bad but just sort of wound up that way anyway, and could have greatly benefited from a lucky bounce of the ping-pong balls. For the most part, though, the decent teams got help, the tankers got punished, and fans got a whirlwind of activity to breathlessly track on television and social media. All told, you’d imagine the league office will consider the first pass on lottery reform a roaring success.

Was surprised to see how lousy his pro career was, 3 years and out of the league, awful stats. Good for him, he could use the money.

Hearing a lot of “the raptors gamble on Kawhi working out will lead more teams to gamble on a 1 year rental of AD” talk. The flaw with that type of thinking is Davis is not nearly as good as Kawhi is.

Put AD on Bulls and he's a first round exit from post season, Lowery, DeRozan would be the best players on the bulls right now. That shows ya how far away Chicago is. Toronto gave DeRozan away for Leonard.

Yeah, Pax is in way over his head. He'll end up trading for Stanley Johnson.

I hope the Bulls trade the 7th pick and Dunn for Lonzo but I don’t see it happening. Agree with Zeph that no matter what happens they are probably gonna fuck up this offseason.

At what point can you cry mercy and admit Lonzo blows? What's it gonna take? His bitch ass can't even complete a season and his jumper is vomit inducing.

Trading Kris Dunn and the #7 pick for that bum would be a prime example of fucking up the offseason.

Yeah, it probably couldn't get much worse than trading Dunn( equal to Ball) and #7 for a softer version of Dunn who brings drama and disfunction.

I’ll admit I’m wrong when his career is done. I never had him as a star. If he can’t stay healthy he will be a big time bust. When he’s healthy he’s an elite defender who does everything except score well. That’s a perfect match with a team that starts Lavine and Lauri. He still has a much higher ceiling than any player who will still be there at 7 and Dunn is a career backup.

Yes, you think Lonzo sucks. That’s well documented. It’s not worth rehashing this argument for the millionth time.

It's not just that he sucks. Its patently stupid to think he is better than Kris Dunn. It's even worse when you think it's a good idea to throw in a top 10 pick for him

Constantly pushing the Lonzo is good narrative even after overwhelming evidence to the contrary should really be what's tiresome.

When he played this past season he played well. The team absolutely fell off a cliff without him. Went from top 10 defensive team to bottom 7. Those are the facts. I’m sorry you seem stuck on ppg numbers. When he’s healthy he’s a good player with potential to be very good. If he can’t stay healthy he will be a big time bust. It’s worth the gamble since Dunn is essentially worthless and the 7 pick doesn’t seem to have good prospects left at that point. That’s it, that’s the argument, I know you disagree, but that’s the sum of the entire argument so again, I’m not getting into another back and forth on this.

I'm not getting into a back and forth about it either. It's why I avoided it for the most part. At no point of Lonzo Ball's career has anyone actually (besides you of course) ever thought he played well.

Remember (you probably don't) that prior to his latest injury he was placed on the block and N.O. turned it down. They laughed off the damn proposal in fact.

That's why I sort of avoid all of this stuff at this point. Message board narratives (depending on whose pushing them) are allowed to fester, go unchallenged and then somehow and someway they become "fact".

Now he is somehow an elite defender that simply has difficulty scoring.

The best of Kris Dunn as an NBA player (which occurred during the time prior to hitting his head on the dunk attempt) has been better than the best of Lonzo Ball. Now that's a fact.

Simply not true. Nothing else to say. (You don’t need to write 500 words when 7 will do)

Doesn't matter. You will think he is good (whatever that actually means) and just about everyone else will think he sucks. Somewhere lies the truth.

It's stupid to think that Trading a high draft pick and guy that is actually better than him is the correct move to make.

Even GarPax are not that stupid.

Dunn is a better offensive player but Lonzo is a better player. Again, health permitting.
