Also the Warriors as a team should be ripped for the way they handled the Durant situation. They let him practice once for the first time in a month and proceed to start him and play him 12 of 14 minutes. I feel like Boston did IT a lot dirtier if only because they never wanted to pay him, but this was still pretty bad and all the crocodile tears in the world from the GM doesn't change the negligence if not malfeasance of letting him play. I imagine though this all gets chalked up as an unfortunate and unpreventable situation and all the real outrage from the media gets saved for the Toronto fans.

For all you kids watching at home: don't play hurt. I don't even like KD, but fuck the Warriors.

Folks seem to think either Kawhi signaled to Lowry to have the coach call those timeouts or Lowry took the initiative after noticing Kawhi looking gassed.
Nurse in the presser noted that they had 2 "free" timeouts they'd lose if they didn't call em before the 3 min mark. Nurse didn't say one way or the other if the timeouts were player or coach initiated.

Draymond ended up covering both Gasol & Lowry on the final shot, as Iguodala rotated up to double Kawhi.

The other thing is I'm not even sure how much respect he actually earned in the long run for doing this anyway. If he remained healthy and played the rest of the series, I'm not sure how much more love he'd be getting from his detractors or just neutral fans. Contrast that with Kawhi though, who sat out an entire season with a far more ambiguous injury on a respected franchise with maybe the most popular coach in the NBA yet is getting more praise than anyone from neutral fans this finals.

what a bitchboy attention whore this Bob Myers is.

Crying like a baby. DO you see Steve Kerr crying? No, with poise he professionally answers the questions. This fruit wants to come to the podium and cry for sympathy. He shouldnt be at the podium at all.

Fuck him. For years they take advantage of other team's injuries, but yet when it happens to them it's the worst thing in the world. He still has 3 HoFers on the floor, so fuck him for crying like a baby.

Really smart people cheaped out on the training staff.

Quote:
While previewing the Warriors, Duncan and Strauss mention that the Warriors’ ability to recover from injuries has helped them in both the 2017 and 2018 playoffs, and that a turn in that fortune could hurt them this year. Strauss then mentions Lane’s departure, stating that, “We have no idea how to calculate her impact, or whether she matters at all. We have no way of knowing, but she’s out of the picture now, and they’ve had just a complete restructuring of their medical training staff.”

Asked by Duncan why Lane left the club, Strauss was blunt: “Well she wanted more money than they were willing to pay her. That’s how that went.”

Strauss elaborated a bit, saying, “The Warriors, they have a very venture capitalist position on these matters, which is, ‘We’re spending on the players. That’s where the talent is.’ And then maybe on some other fronts there isn’t going to be as much spending, because they think that they can get a better deal or a better person.”

Given how many serious injuries we are seeing with NBA players it may be time to ask whether it is ok to watch NBA basketball.

This Durant injury makes me sick as a sports fan.

About 3 guys I know that have blown or torn their Achilles were steadfast that the first injury was actually an Achilles injury. They claimed that the Warriors and Durant didn't want to say that because it might affect his impending Free Agency. I thought they were crazy but when you see something like this happen maybe it was an Achilles strain and not a calf injury all along.

You should have shared this inside information with WWN before taking his bet.

Lighten up. Kevin Durant, his agent, the team, all knew the risk reward. It didn't work out. So what. Durant will be fine. He can do some bucket list stuff for a year. Learn there's other things besides basketball. Grow as a person. For God's sake, he didn't have a heart valve misfunction.

I don't mean to be a smartass, but duh. Calf injury was the worst kept secret ever. Everyone knew he could roll it up. Thank God he didn't. That shit apparently is painful as hell.

News Flash: professional sports ruins bodies. You want to cut down on injuries. Play a 40 game schedule.

Anybody want to do that? No? Didn't think so.

KD’s injury could make him look even better, for trusting himself and not the medical staff at SA.

Why? They all thought it would be a Sweep even without Durant. Its their fault they don't understand enough about the league to know that Toronto was a legitimate team. That the East is a legit Conf.

Your trolling works better when you don't arrive late to the party.

You will see what you want to see as you always do. Its not a competition for me. My work is already done.

You sure were quiet before last night's game however. Awfully quiet in fact. Nothing like a little glimmer of hope to get you going eh Brick?

You don't sound confident. Maybe WWN will let you buy your way out of the bet.

Maybe he will allow you to buy your way into the bet. You seem to be awfully interested for some reason. Name your price

IF you truly believed this then you would not have such a problem with wagering on it.

Hey Brick where have you been over the past week? You only seem to show up when G.S. wins. You are however an non interested, objective observer aren't you?

Seems your confidence is the one that has been shaken. Doesn't take much for one to see how you want this to turnout. This one is already over. Its why I haven't much talked about it.

Seeing the Raps lose reminded me of the Cubs losing game six against the Marlins in 2003. Everything was in their favor: Durant goes down, that other dude went down, you're up six at home with three mins left, then boom you lose.

You can take the same $50 bet that he has. Let's see just how much my confidence is actually"shaken".

A $50 bet on the Warriors to win the series would pay out $125 as of now.

I'm going to pass on your clearly fair bet.
