Blues did it.

When was the last time they won a cup? Or is this their first?

I'll look it up before you answer.

It's their first Stanley Cup title. Didn't know that. They were born in 1967.

Dark day.

Not as bad as 2005 because we won 3 this decade before they won but still a dark day.

I thought Bob Keeshan had passed but he's apparently working for the NHL toting around the Stanley Cup.

Also, if you want the Blues to win this you aren't a Hawks fan.

Maybe you became a fan during the good years where you were use to shitheads like Backes and Reeves but that franchise was bigger shitfucks in the early 2000's.

Yep...here come the true Hockey purists.....It's the only one of the 4 major sports where 5% of the fans have been around since the 80's and are miserable because the sport expanded and grew the fan base. I'm sorry I don't meet your criteria for credible fan because the league didn't discover marketing fundamentals until the Millennium. Congrats....you've followed the game longer than I have...I'm not worthy.

I'm well aware of the Blues history, but you'll just have to deal with the fact that I (and many others) are really really really fucking tired of Boston. I'm glad Boston lost. I'm not apologizing or turning in my Hawks jerseys for enjoying that.

Now excuse me....I have to go assault some people that walked by wearing Metallica shirts. Clearly they only know the Black album and weren't aware of their greatness when Master of Puppets was released....THEY'RE NOT REAL FANS!.

I always laugh at Hawk fans who brag about going to the UC and watching the 00s Hawks. Congratulations. You paid to watch a shitty Hawks team that at one point was ranked as the worst franchise in American sports. Now if you were just going to watch NHL hockey or just for entertainment that’s different but there are people who brag like it is a badge of honor to support a shitty team with horrible ownership. Guess what? Nobody fucking cares. The ownership viewed you as a dollar sign and the players didnt give a fuck. There is no imaginary fan scoreboard that you win because you are a “great fan.” Watch, attend, and follow whatever or whoever entertains you. Jump on a bandwagon if it gives you joy. If somebody judges you for who you watch or root for- tell them to fuck off.

Not piling on Hockey Gay .....I get this from a lot of people outside CFMB that are long time hockey fans...Gay, Curious, GoldenJet, and most of the others on here know the game really really well....I've learned a lot from them and always enjoy their posts. This just struck a nerve as I've heard it for years from others outside of the board.

What's a shame is that hockey as a sport itself offers the most continuous excitement...it's a great game. I wish I would have had more exposure to it as a kid in the 80's. I feel like I missed out.

DAC.....agreed, but to be fair...many good fans did say "fuck it, I'm not going anymore". The Hawks were in a pretty bad place by the time the old man died. It was sad. Uncle Jerry is doing his best to outdo Wirtz with both the Sox and Bulls. I just don't get it.

Spaulding...Aren't you a Purdue alum? My ghetto-ass state directional school education is nowhere near you and many others here
