I've only ever used GrubHub but I've used it probably 100 times over the year without ever having an issue. The below story has to be total bullshit, right?

No, Goff is correct on this one. I got burned once and their customer service was....not good.

I cannot imagine ordering from a place a 3rd time after two previous attempts of not getting my food

Now, I do not live in the city. I have had drivers pick up part of an order and I have had drivers call me to come out to the sidewalk to get my order. And yes, the chat sucks. The problem with these services is with the tipping. It is not like uber, where you tip after the service is completed. But to be fair, there are youtube videos of drivers getting little to no tips, and that is how they make money.

Like I said, I've used GrubHub probably 100 times at least over the last few years and I've never once had a single issue. Guess I just got lucky with the first app of that type I decided to download. Never tried any of the others

I've had far more issues with Grubhub. Orders lost. Difficult to get refunds. Still it works better than calling in orders. Always seemed to be mistakes that way.

I've never had an issue with DoorDash. Not saying it didn't happen, but Goff is a blame someone else first guy.

I used Door Dash when i was in TX for work....they were a bigger option compared to Uber eats and GrubHub.

Never used GrubHub, but have used Uber Eats...no issue with them.

The day they hired my idiot brother to do that, I knew that I'd NEVER order from one of those services. He got fired for failing to deliver food at the first place and has signed on at a second place.

He's such a shit for brains nitwit that I heard he had to go take a CAT scan today and all I could think of the old line about Dizzy Dean: all tests (on his brain) were negative.

Also there are 15 places to eat I can easily walk to from my house in the suburbs, and I hate walking.

I haven't had any major problems with Door Dash or Grub Hub, but yeah their customer service is not the best. I had an issue with a late delivery, and all I asked for was a code for free delivery on my next order (I use them at least twice a week). They couldn't grant my request, however about 2 or 3 days later I got an automated email promotion for free delivery.

tried them both for free here in the quad cities. hard pass. but its also relatively easy to get around, around here. We have a large swatch of people around the office willing to pay double for food they could walk a few blocks away to get. yet continually complain about not having any money. you just paid 16 bucks for a subway meal.

At Indian Bistro in Palatine seeing an issue between Grubhub and the restaurant...seems to be confusion on the driver's part. I'd never use any of these services.

Our last guy took forever, but I chalked it up to ordering on a Friday night. I’ve never had an issue in our 30+ times using grub hub, Uber eats, etc.

Pesci was right: they fuck you at the drive through. Third party delivery is 10 times worse.

I was at Bonta in Lincolnshire a couple weeks ago. It's an Italian old school deli/restaurant. Saw some doordash/grub hub girl come in and pick up two pizzas. She put them in the warmer bag and then proceeded to exit the restaurant while talking on her phone and holding the bag almost completely sideways. And this is a place with neopalotin stylie pizza so I'm sure the entire thing had collapsed and moved to one side of the box.

True, but they might've been by the time they were delivered.

Giving Door Dash a shot at lunch today...have had good luck by home, but I had a taste for Thai food for lunch, and didn't feel like burning my entire lunch driving to get it.

Good times.

This.

One time and I'm done.

I've never used any of these sites mainly because I hear complaints about the service/prices.
