I will be so much better Sam. My previous gig was like 90-120 minutes daily of windshield time. Its 8-5 so the lunch is unpaid but I'll manage. It does help to get me back onto the course, so I'm looking more probable than questionable for the Jorr Outing.

Went to the Nascar race last Sunday in Joliet. Hot as fuck! They only go about 10 laps in before lightning and then a storm caused a stoppage. Standing under the grandstands as the storm flew through was crazy. 50 mi/hr winds, shit was falling, flags were getting torn, people were concerned- just a crazy moment. When the rain let up we left even thought they didn't cancel the race. Our camping pavilion and 3 lawn chairs had blown away and my truck was sitting in 6" of water.

Got back to Tinley Park, grilled dinner, and turned on the race. Sure as shit, Kurt Busch was being interviewed and it had cleared up considerably. Checked the forecast and it was clear for the rest of the night. So I hauled ass to get back to the speedway. I was parking as they dropped the green flag to restart the race. By the time I got to my seat I had missed 12 laps. Beautiful night. Great race. Glad I went back.
