Agreed, it reminds me of Hawk crying about the Twins in the Metrodome. STFU n do your job, don't make excuses for poor play.

Hi all, just stopping back for a few moments to answer a few more. Not sure what this means but -- Not a huge fan of the term walkoff, but I do use it because it is descriptive -- it paints the picture of the ROAD TEAM walking off the field to end the game. I prefer "game-ending" to walkoff.

We gave it to him for a couple reasons -- 1) The Rockies are averaging about 8 runs a game at Coors (see what they did vs. SD) and Darvish went 6 innings and left with the game tied. 2) When we do sponsored stuff like that, we do not overthink it and in that case it was merely an acknowledgement of the fact he didn't walk anybody and kept the team in the game. Nothing more, nothing less.

I see Hawk Harrelson is back taking shots at Wrigley Field. What is/was his reputation in the broadcast industry amongst his peers?

Len;

What was behind the stupidity of the decision to sell off LaStella for nothing and then give two years to Delscaso? That was an awful move!

I think they wanted more defensive versatility and loved Descalso's leadership qualities. Remember, Tommy would not have been an everyday player this year had he been on the Cubs. I'm thrilled for him to get the chance to play every day.

No such thing occurred. He said he doesn't look ahead. In fact, he was not looking ahead of the Dodgers when he made his comment.

So many great ones, but Pete Donnelly of The Figgs is right up there. And Steve Kilbey of The Church.

All I know about him is that he's from mid-Michigan. So he must be decent.

Len

Would you rather have Soler or Heyward in RF?

Why did we destroy Soler's potential after his great 2015 postseason?

(by the way, tune in now, Red Sox and Twins tied in the 17th inning in a great game)

Cubs got Wade Davis for Soler, who had had lots of injury concerns. That's a deal I'd make again in a heartbeat. Davis was very good for the Cubs in '17. Happy for Jorge that it's coming together this season.
