Hope this goes better than the last Arkansas pick!

Portis easily outperformed his draft slot.

Gafford seems like he has a pretty low ceiling. Rather have Bol.

Agreed. Second round is a good time to take an injury risk with upside.

It's strange that the Bulls front office drafts conservatively despite appearing to have the most job security of any front office in the league.

swing for the fences.

I would have done everything I could to move back up to draft Porter last year as well.

Agreed. Paxson always seems to prefer the known floor over the unknown ceiling. He's steadfastly committed to being pretty good.

He deviated once from that formula and get super burned with Tyrus Thomas. Could be he's overcompensating for that experience.

There's probably something with Bol we don't know about.

A seven footer with foot issues and doesn't play hard most of the time. He probably never figures it out or stays injured. But maybe being such a late pick changes his attitude about trying all the time. Probably not, but there is a better chance it happens being drafted so late than in the lottery.

you know I only saw about the first 10 picks b/c my son had the urgent need to get back to his Xbox, but many of those kids up there with their dads (or not) were great. Still sweet kids. RJ Barrett and his dad crying! I got a little verklempt myself.

Great A+ draft for Atlanta! They started the night with too many picks in a weak draft. They consolidated and moved up while still having 2 lottery picks. They got the guy they wanted, a guy who is a perfect fit next to Trae and Collins. The best wing defender in the draft, a proven shooter and a guy who has already shown he can be successful without getting a lot of touches. What's not to love?

Then they balanced that out by grabbing the highest ceiling guy at #10 in Reddish. Reddish as a 50/50 shot at either being a bust or being a star. There's really no in between. When you already have a no bust potential guy in Hunter it makes sense to gamble on Reddish.

Then they topped all that off by trading up to get Bruno Fernando in the mid second round. That's a brilliant pick that late.
