Bullshit FF, it's the most entertaining thing happening here on these boards, it's just going the wrong way for your kind. Tough...Keep off the Cubs board, along with the other Sox fans and I will be glad to refrain from posting here. Otherwise, I shall continue. Oh, did you notice that the Cubs won again and swept yet another series? 4 in a row overall and 11 in a row at home.

Besides, I am typing here, not talking. There is no audio available on these message boards....unless you are hearing voices..

Well, a tad bit of help. They're dropping like flies in Cleveland.

CLEVELAND -- The Indians got the news on catcher Victor Martinez and second baseman Josh Barfield on Thursday, and it was bad news on both fronts.

Martinez (right elbow inflammation) and Barfield (left middle finger sprain) are both headed to the 15-day disabled list, and the Indians have purchased the contracts of catcher Yamid Haad and infielder Jorge Velandia from Triple-A Buffalo. The club had not yet announced corresponding roster moves to get Haad and Velandia on the 40-man.

It was a quote from a movie dumbass. And its not the most entertaining thing right now, its the most annoying thing. Have you not heard your fellow Cubs fans ridiculing you for your borish, child-like behavior when it comes to this rivalry? I dont post in the Cubs section often, but when I do its not just to make fun of the Cubs for losing a game or a series. That doesnt interest me much. You look like a complete idiot right now to both sides of town. Realize that. Now go home and get your fucking Shrine box.

You think so?? IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!! You should heed those words of former President Lincoln yourself, instead of Running your mouth. Know your role and shut your mouth. But on a serious note, it's good to see youre back in mens clothes these days.

It doesn't surprise me that Steve enjoyed the 2005 playoffs like the claims. He without question was one of those meatball bandwagon jumpers that was the biggest Sox fan in the world in October 2005. At least he got a taste of what playoff success is like.

I got a taste of what playoff success is like in 2003, when I was in Atlanta for the clinching game of the divisional series. But I surely did enjoy the playoff games in 2005, as I enjoy good baseball. That year they played some very good baseball on the south side. Posednik did a great job of getting on, and when he didn't steal second, Iguchi hit behind him very well and either got a hit to right or at least advanced Pods. Then the 3-4 hitters got him and perhaps others, in. I like good baseball, so I appreciated that team. Now honestly, and this is not a shot-this Sox team does not play that style of baseball. They dont have a good leadoff hitter with a great OBP, like was the case with Podsednik. Nor do they have a #2 hitter, who is as willing to give himself up for the team, like Iguchi. It's a team with power, but not much speed. Alexi Ramirez has good speed and maybe some day he could become a leadoff hitter, but not anytime soon. I have never claimed the Sox as "My Team". I am a Cubs fan, who goes to some Sox games and appreciates good baseball. I think that the Sox have a very good chance to win their division and I hope for the sake of some good friends who are Sox fans that they do. But I do enjoy antagonizing you, when the Sox lose. By the way, I think the Sox will win tomorrow behind Gavin Floyd. I think he's going to be an all-star and is their best pitcher. He is already someone who should get consideration for the All-Star team. He faces Francis, a lefty, who is pretty mediocre. The only thing that hurts the Sox, is that Brad Hawpe and Matt Holiday are back from the DL and the Rockies have an exceptional good hitting team, when healthy. The only main cog still out for them is Troy Tulowitzski. This post is reflective of my true attitude about the Sox. I just rub it in, when the Sox lose because I think turnabout is fair play. The posts I made about the Tigers pitchers and why they shouldn't be underestimated was accurate and backed up by solid facts/stats. I didn't just post some crap that said the Sox may well lose to someone, without a solid theory as to why I felt that might happen, with stats to support the position. You post so much crap about the Cubs, a lot of which has no basis in fact, that I feel like there is a need to recipricate. But I do so only when I have a reason to believe the Sox may lose, or a comment as to why they came up short, that I feel pertinent. Although sometimes it is just good old fashioned mean spirited gloating. Those posts are meant primarily for you and those of your ilk.

Steve, pretty much eliminate the "I love rubbing it in to Sox fans when their team loses" and try not to sound so much like "Team of Destiny" Harry, and you will be pretty close to not being a meatball. Neither schtick is funny nor entertaining to either side of town.

Hey, Twins got killed by the Indians today. So we're still 5.5 in front of the Twins. Indians are 6.5 back. Despite being swept we only lost 1 game.

Like I said, gotta push this lead up with Rockies and Pirates coming into town.

Thats the best you can do? You gotta bring it. Enough with the insinuating people are women and the wrestling lingo. Pathetic. <mr pickles> embarassing </mr pickles>

To see examples of those who repeatedly 'bring it', check for posts from Reason, EG Greg, and STU.

I had warned Sox fans about the match-ups with Verlander as well as Rogers well before each game. I never did predict a sweep, but thought it was likely the Tigers would take 2 of 3. If you go back and look at the earlier posts it's easy to verify.

I am posting here, in response to the Sox fans that insist on posting on the Cubs section. It's just so much easier to rail on the Sox, while the idiots that TRY to take runs at the Cubs are shooting spitballs at an aircraft carrier.

Westmont-the Sox were indeed playing well-against the Royals and Twins. Both teams with losing records and the Royals, truely pathetic. But the Tigers, while also a losing team at this point, are a team on the rise, who I expect to be the Sox toughest competition in the division before the year is up.

Steve, you really are a meatball, aren't you? You even brought up the "they're just beating shitty teams" argument.
I haven't heard world series talk on the south side like I do from some Cub fans like you who seemingly EXPECT to go to world series. But worry about your team right now. The Cubs have also only played 4 teams that have winning records....and they have a winning record against only 1 of those teams. Plus you should start to worry about YOUR division. There's only a few games left against the Pirates, who the Cubs are 9-3 against. But the world series bound Cubs are only 9-12 against the rest of the division, with a winning record against none of them.

By the way, because I know you don't know....before the White Sox swept the Twins (Sox had a losing record against them before this sweep) and Royals (that was the first time they played this year), they we're already in first place. So somehow the Sox were in first place without "beating up" on the Twins and Royals. Hmmmm, sounds like you're wrong Steve. Hope you have better luck with your team.

Mike-slow your roll-of course they were in first place, in that shit division. The second place team is 3 under .500 !!! That division is so pathetic that if the sox were just .500, they would lead it by 1 1/2 games. Wow, thats some accomplishment that they were and are leading that group of dregs.

As far as worrying about the Cubs division, you're right, its a tough division, with two teams already having 40 or more wins (The Majors best Cubs with 43 and the Cardinals with 40) and Milwaukee 4 games over .500. Heck, Houston and Pittsburgh are just a game under .500 take away those Cubs games and Pittsburgh is 30-25. Maybe it's Sox fans that should worry about Pittsburgh, as they play them the series after Colorado. But I never said the Cubs were going to run away with their division. It's a tough division and there are a lot of things that can happen. But I like their chances. They just dont have the luxury of playing in a pathetic division, where every team but themselves has a record 3 games under .500 or WORSE, like the Sox. As stated before, leading that steaming pile of monkey crap, is the tallest midget award.

WYC meatball steve? You end every other post with 'The Cubs end the wait in 2008.' So maybe you aren't saying they will run away with the division, but you've already crowned thier ass World Series Champs on June 13? Between that and the wrestling talk, I really hope you are like 14. If not, how sad and pathetic.

For the record, talking about crappy competition, everybody knows the entire NL is inferior to the AL, and the Cubs had the worst record among any playoff team last year, and I think only the 11th best record overall.

I don't have to slow anything Steve. You're claim about the Sox being in first from beating up on the Royals and Twins is simply wrong...I just pointed it out to you.
Now you're saying it would be an embarassment to win a division fill with complete shit, right? I have no problem with it but I guess you do.
Hey meatball, dig down deep in your brain and see if you can remember as far back as LAST YEAR....when the Cubs' division had 4 teams under .500 and zero 90-game winners. I'm sure you didn't cheer at all as your team won that steaming pile of monkey crap of a division, right?
Or how about the year before that when the Cardinals won 83 games in that steaming pile of monkey crap division that the Cubs are in....but they won the world series.... did they still get the trophy or were they told the division they played in wasn't good enough?
When they start handing out trophies for the best record on June 13th, let me know.

Mike, youre an idiot. I never stated that the sox were in first place because they had just beat up on the royals and twins. I said that those teams were not very good-Twins (losing record) or sucked-Royals. I have said that the sox being in first place wasn't any big deal, in that the division sports a steaming pile of monkey crap-besides the sox, every team at least 3 games under the .500 mark. If you can find a post where I said that the sox were only in first place because they beat the Royals and Twins, please highlight it and I will not post here ever again. But it never happened. If you want to run your mouth about my posts at least be accurate about them.

For Frank-I never said that the Cubs were great LAST year. They were fortunate to make the playoffs and were definitely not the better team, when they played and lost to Arizona. However, while I am realistic enough to acknowledge that the Cubs may not run away with the N.L. Central, I do expect they will win it. It's just too tough a division for anyone to run and hide in. But I have not changed my stance on the outcome of this season, where THE CUBS END THE WAIT IN 2008!!!

Oh, this has to be my last post for this thread-the Tigers series is over for those who have not noticed. In case you missed it, the Tigers swept. All the while, the Cubs continued to dominate, sweeping their series to run their win streak to 4, their home win streak to 11, and their major league win total to 43. Oh, what a great year to be a Cubs fan. :D

It's hard enough reading your meatballish posts the first time Steve, now you want me to read them again?
The fact is that you said the Sox were playing well only against the Royals and Twins. And I pointed out to you that you're wrong....and that they were in first place (= playing well) even BEFORE playing the Royals at all and BEFORE they had a winning record against the Twins. Which means that they were "playing well" prior to the sweeps against the Royals and Twins.
Nice job ignoring everything else in the post.
