Posey's 3 might have done it.

Posey is a badass MF'er. He's the kind of guy you want by your side in a fight.

Pierce is also showing the type of player he is. He's going toe-to-toe with Kobe and not backing down. He's one of the few players in the L that want a piece of Kobe and isnt afraid to take it.

What a fucking collapse by the Lakers. Blew a 24 point lead.

Gotta blame Kobe. 6 for 20 from the field. Plus he coasted in the 3rd and into the 4th. He could have put his foot on their throat. Kobe thought the Lakers had this.

I can't wait to hear Phil in the post game. He's gonna be steaming.

Lakers just coasted as a team. Give credit to the Celtics. After the 1st quarter they played great.

Well, I was wrong. Celtics were the first to win a road game.

Game over. Celtics win and take a 3-1 lead in the Finals. Me and Beardown were both wrong in our premature comments in the first quarter.

the weird thing is, now they have a commanding lead...but this was the most exciting game of the series by far.

Let him, he's as much to blame as anyone. He coached like they had the game won, just like the Lakers played like they had it won. Doc Rivers has undoubtedly outcoached Phil Jackson in the NBA Finals. Read that sentence again, it's true. I never expected it, but it has been the case so far.

No. You're right. I'm a long time "Phil is overrated guy."

Plus I just think he's a smug, arrogant ass hole.

I agree, Lakers looked great running and gunning early in the game, the best they've looked all series. But having Kobe bring the ball up and having Gasol set a pick and roll at the 3-point line didn't work the rest of the game, and that's all they ran in the 4th. Boston is just a better team, it's the NBA, great players can carry you and Boston have 3, LA has one, maybe 2 and Kobe didn't show up at all, MJ would never let that happen.

This will be the storyline if LA doesnt come back in the next week or so. I agree, but I also think this LA team is more flawed then most Bulls title teams were. Of course, I also believe this Boston team is weaker than any of the 6 teams the Bulls faced. Im not sure, but I think its clear Kobe isnt on MJ's level right now, and will need to do some dynamic things to get there by the time he retires. I agree with you that I dont think MJ in his prime would have let his team blow a 24 point lead in a must-win game in the Finals.

Phil has 9 titles.

But Phil will also go down as the coach who gave up the biggest lead in Finals history.

Jordan never lost in the Finals. This will be Kobe's 2nd straight Finals loss.

One more year goes by that Kobe doesn't get his 4th. A missed opportunity to gain on Jordan't 6 titles.

Jordan never lost in the Finals. Did I mention that?

Now, if Kobe brings this back, that will be something. Guess what? Kobe is taking 40 shots in game 5.

Wow. Phil was pretty calm. Gave credit to the Celtics. Didn't bitch about the refs. He actually put the blame on his team. That's not the Phil I know.

Kobe with a healthy Bynum to go with Gasol will get another ring or two.

So does Boston win the next one or LA gets one more?

I don't see LA losing game 5. No way. It's going back to Boston. From there it's either Kobe is special or Boston wins the title. That's it.

There is no way that Jordan sits back and lets a team come back from that deficit to win given the fact that the series is almost completely over if they lose.

Paul Pierce has outplayed Kobe 3 to 1 in this series.

I'm as shocked as anyone. I expected it to be 3-1 right now for the Lakers.

Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant will have their legacies severely hurt by this series unless they win 3 straight.

Kobe yes, Phil No. Phil has rightly or wrongly already been canonized as the greatest coach of all time. I think its ridiculous, but thats just my opinion. Phil's legacy will not suffer from this defeat. Unless Kobe reals off 4 titles in a row he will not be considered on MJ's level historically.

You guys see Kobe? He was funny. He had some local radio reporter ask him a smart ass question.

Kobe's response: We just wet the bed. A big one. The kind where you can't just put a towel over it.

It was funny.

Kobe also said he's gonna have 20 shots tonight.

I always kind of liked Paul Pierce, normally from the fact that he was a fantasy basketball steal for me a few times, but he's really impressed me this series. I didn't know he was capable of that kind of defense. He was MIA in game 3, but he was money in the other 3 games. When the trade was made, I thought this was Kevin Garnett's chance to show the world that he can lead a team to a title. Instead, it's Pierce leading them.

Shoutout to Ray Allen also. He's really stepped up his game in the finals. He looked like he was old and tired earlier in the playoffs. Now he's possibly the most consistent Celtic.

For once you are right Rick. Ray Allen has been the most underrated story of this series. He has been on his A game on both ends of the floor, and has done everything within reason he could do to win this series for the C's. Right now I would rank him slightly higher than PP as MVP Finals although its obvious PP or KG will win the award if the C's win the series due to popularity.
