How could that work? Is Jesse going to use the knowledge he learned from Mr. White to invent a medical device that brings Walt back from the dead? Maybe he'll use a magnet!

That's when Jesse and Walt create a rocket out of bubble gum and bailing wire and set up a meth franchise on Mars.

Dumb idea, it ended great.. could have been better if Walt killed Skylar n Jessie though. Leave it be, write some new material.

Didn't they already announce a TV movie that follows Jessie after Breaking Bad?

The big news is that zombie Walter White is with him.

Confirming the long held belief that what started the zombie apocalypse in Walking Dead was bad meth!

Sure, why not? Costner's 3rd baseball movie was For Love Of The Game.

She shouldn't, because it is not.

Opinions vary. The Wire is far more sophisticated. It doesn't have nonsense like a super-genius creating a Rube Goldberg machine gun in the trunk of a car to take out a nest of Nazis.

One scene in five years.
He also created chemical weapons, wired up a bomb on a wheelchair that was denoted by a person who could barely move, broke in and out of highly secured facilities, cooked the greatest meth the world has ever seen in the matter of a few weeks because, um, he was smart in college, blackmailed billionaire friends into funneling drug money to his family which clearly won't ever be found out, and did all of this without his brother-in-law discovering any of it until he accidentally left a book that was signed by a guy he killed in his bathroom that anyone from his family or guests could read.

 I loved Breaking Bad but a suspension of disbelief is needed that is not required for The Wire. To me, Breaking Bad played like a comic book. Sort of like what M. Night Shyamalan tried to do less successfully with the Unbreakable series. But hey, I love comic books.

I also loved both shows but you didn’t think the whole serial killer storyline (The Wire Season 5) required a bit of disbelief?

I'm probably not one to ask on this because I don't subscribe to Netflix or Amazon which seem to have top premium shows. The Leftovers is the greatest show in television history. I don't consider anything else even close. The Wire and The Sopranos are obviously great. I would put Mad Men in there too. And Oz was a very important show, really the one that got the whole "peak TV" thing started.

Breaking Bad was entertaining. I enjoyed it immensely. But it's not sophisticated in the same way as these other shows. It's like comparing Stephen King to Saul Bellow.

JORRs best post ever. Wish I had thought of that comparison. Well stated.

This is the 3rd time I’m watching this through I think.

Beginning of season 2. This is where past watching is definitely coloring my view. I disliked Skylar more than anyone first time watching, 2nd time I realized that was off a bit, now I just feel downright terrible for her the whole time. I’m becoming Favrio DiCaro :(

So the big reveal was a tequila venture.

Not any new Breaking Bad content.

Not good.

I was more thinking about where I was at in season 2 while saying that.

I don't know what Skylar fell on of Ted's. But it certainly wasn't man-meat.

Fuck outta here with a heated bathroom floor.

I can’t believe there’s a lot of people who don’t like Fly. It’s fucking hilarious.

i thought it was entertaining but i guess during its original run, with commercials and not having the benefit of knowing where the show is going, maybe it was a bit frustrating since it was basically a play.

once i realized it was going to take place in a single setting, i changed my attitude on it. but for the first 5-10 minutes i found myself getting impatient with it.

I found it any unnecessary waste of an episode. Walt's assholish meticulousness had already been well established.

The “I broke my boy” speech in the 5h episode of BCS is as good as any scene in BB.

It’s a bottle episode. They needed to save money.

It’s not my favorite. I think it is overloved.

The bottle episode in the Sopranos was better. I think it was called Pine Barrens or something. Fly sucked.

Is it overloved though? I think it’s basically just me that likes it and everyone else hated it. I don’t follow a lot of the talk though outside of Sepinwall’a initial recaps.

Imo it’s probably the funniest episode they ever did and the back half still works well.
