Didn't Kaepernick piss off a lot of people in Miami by wearing a Castro shirt there?

Rick, you've hit the real point there. Nike is in the business of making money, that's all really. Anyone who is pissed about Kaepernick, pulling this shoe, etc. isn't someone Nike is trying to sell shoes, clothes, performance gear, etc. to. (Don't get me wrong, they aren't marketing to me either.)

Nike doesn't care about the 65 year old white dude who is pissed off because Nike signed Kaepernick to an endorsement deal. I mean I guess that pissed off dude isn't going to "ever buy Nike again" or some other nonsense, but the reality is this:

1. How many Nike shoes is that 65 year old going to realistically purchase in his life? 5 maybe 7?

2. That pissed off dude is probably going to forget about Kaepernick in 2-3 years anyway and when he rolls into Dick's he'll just buy Nike again.

I mean, it's simple, Nike has a pretty robust marketing department and they know who they want to sell to, and what will sell to that demo. If you are actively turned off to a company by their marketing plan, odds are that company doesn't give a shit if you purchase their product or not.

I think that it's pretty much across the board for all similar companies. No brand seems immune from cheap production and falling quality.

Not a gym shoe, but my Birkenstocks are made as well today as they were 20 years ago.

I have a wide foot and the wider Naots don't fit as nicely as Birkenstocks.

I purchased a pair of fairly high-end New Balance road racing shoes last year and was shocked at how quickly the tread wore off (somewhat understandably for a road shoe, but these were worn bald incredibly fast) but even more importantly the uppers on the outside of both feet wore and eventually ripped out. I maybe got 150-200 miles in them before they were demoted to lawn-mowing duty. The Nike trail shoes I run in have been awesome, they have taken a serious beating and still keep coming back for more.

Nike are a bunch of pussies.

I hope they pay for this.

Why do they still employ kapermick? He’s a bum with no team.

Also I hear his gf is the brains behind this and the flag protest. Kap is just the dope she found to push her agenda.

I think it just varies at times from shoe to shoe. I had the exact opposite experience. That last pair of Nike running shoes I bought wore our very quickly. I went with a New balance trail shoes and they have been great.

Sure. But Nike appeals to a Communist/Socialist loving radical crowd who hate the US as a rule. I did see somewhere that they were planning to build a plant in Arizona and the governor is now having second thoughts.

I watched black lawyer and Democratic talking head, Leo Terrell, of OJ fame defend Nike's action because at the time of the Revolutionary War, there was slavery in the world and the US. Gee. Wonder where Leo and his asshole crowd were during Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009?

The ignorance and lack of common sense by the leftists in this country is pathetic. Nothing will ever satisfy these people. The turnabout in bitching about immigration is a perfect example of a group of jerk-offs who don't know where they stand on virtually any issue other than their hatred of the president of the US. First they said, that Trump "Manufactured a Crisis" and that was the Dem talking points for months. Now it is defined as a HUGE CRISIS by these same ding-bats. Gee. What changed? Other than the Dems complete 180 on their opinions that is.

And fuck Nike. I haven’t bought their shot in years.

Just bought my first pair of non-Nike shoes since Jordan was with the Bulls.

3 bad shoes in a row with the last straw being LeBron trying to trademark Taco Tuesday.
