Rapinoe's replacement.

Really? Wow...talk about making the most of your opportunities....

She's actually probably better than Rapinoe.

FF and Kirkwood won't believe you and add that Kapernick should also be on the team.

Rapinoe has been kicking ass as have this team. It’s been fun to watch while working. What’s the problem here?

I think the images of that are hilarious. It looks like she's taking a big hit on a joint.

Don't Bogart that joint Alex Morgan!

The Rapinoe story is bizarre. She was so hurt she was ruled out without even trying to warm up but she also claims to be completely healthy and definitely ready for a game on Sunday and no one would make any comment about the "injury" until after the game and even then it was a strange explanation.

Was she just benched because someone on the team was better for this game?

She should have pretended to eat noodles with chopsticks after one of her goals against Thailand.

Yeah if your so hurt you can not even warmup on Tuesday, no way your playing on Sunday when it is a hamstring.

I think that's the consensus. Rapinoe wasn't quick enough to deal with Bronze who is considered perhaps the best player in the world and who now definitely has an appropriate name.

Pretty strange to have to bench the best soccer player in the world. Maybe the USWNT has most of the top players in the world.

Wasn’t there an old baseball player billed as “too good to play every day”. That’s Rapinoe!

She's not the best player in the world or even close. She's having a real good WC, though!

She clearly is. Soccer version of LeBron.

Rapinoe is really a tough soccer player so if she was sat down, it had to be an injury and they certainly are not going to broadcast it to anyone. It probably was a hammy and would have affected her against Bronze who is a terrific player. I know she wasn't sat down because of politics even though many Americans do not like her political bullshit "stance".

She's not close to being the best soccer player in the world or even the best women's soccer player in the world. She might, though be the best pound for pound women's soccer player in the world. She is extremely scrappy and tough. I love to watch her play. I can't stand her politics but that doesn't mean she isn't an excellent player.

Except she has the clutch gene that Lebron will never have.

I think that she got hurt and that was the reason. She got pulled out of their previous game after she scored both goals. She worked her little ass off in that game which was very physical also. I doubt that she plays much in the championship game unless it is a blow out.

Have to wait until we send them to the men's World Cup. Maybe they lose that.

I mean instead of being happy that Sunday could be a great day/night for US Soccer, she's mad because all the attention won't be on her.

She was hurt, which is why she left in the 84th minute in the previous game. She is a bit of a dope, but what can you expect from athletes anyway. She is not the best player on the US team. She's not the best player on England's team, or Sweden, or the Netherlands.

The women's final will be at 10am. The men play at 8pm. It's a non-issue.
