Yeah I think so. Who are your top 10? Should we compare lists and see how many “wasted” seasons by not winning the championship? It might be a fun exercise.

Wow. Ok. If your two QBs are top 10 then you gotta take Ben with you is what I'm saying. Which is ridiculous mind you. But still. Ben's got the hardware that both your boys have combined.

You really put the all time sacks taken, interceptions thrown, and most fumbles guy as a top 10 all time guy?

But not the guy with 2 rings.

Interesting.

Anyway the whole point of this thread was the bears record prediction this year. Not to discuss your packers insecurity. You're obstruficating. Which is why I'll exit this discussion on topic with how I came in. I dig an 11-5 prediction. I like the defense. A second year in the system for a QB that i believe has not yet really hit his stride. Special teams is a massive concern which bothers me in a big way.

The bears were a flawed team with some very bright points. We've learned over the years that under the right conditions defense can and will win championships. They certainly win divisions and conferences. This is the strength bears fans are largely counting on and not without reason.

Can their defense carry them to a division. Positively. Can it carry them to a conference? Likely. A superbowl? Possible. A super bowl win? Let's not go crazy.

Is it interesting? Really? Should we start a thread asking who everyone thinks is better between Brett Favre, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, and Jim Plunkett? This is something you think would go well for you?

Lol

As to the rest of your predictions I’d gladly wager otherwise. Glad you’re confident though. Should be fun.

Jim McMahon has two rings as well. I guess he's better than Farve.

We clearly mean starters nimrod but thanks for backing up my point that SB wins are a terrible metric for QBs

He was a starter for one of them.

When you are talking about one of the best QBs EVER- Rodgers- he absolutely is going to be remembered by how many rings he won. Especially in this pass happy, QB friendly day and age.

Outside of Wisconsin, Rodgers will be judged on how many he rings he didn't win.

That’s simply wrong.

It’s very telling that none of you will provide your top 10 QB list with corresponding rings won.

Why do you think that is?

But yeah it’s all good my friend. It would be annoying if I never saw my favorite football team win a SB, much less two of them. Maybe one day you’ll experience that joy :D

I'm simply right.

Just like when I said nobody in the NFL since Ditka has done less with more, and the Bears will be a 10-11 win team this season.

Its hurts being this good.

I provided evidence you are completely wrong. You won’t answer the simple question of who your top 10 QBs are because answering it would prove you unequivocally wrong.

Do you really want to continue embarrassing yourself?

There’s not even $52 involved here!

Horrible thought. Ditka was a fantastic coach.

And then...after a while he wasn't.

Ditka made a crap team into a playoff contender/Super Bowl champ in less than 5 years. People criticized him for cutting Noah Jackson because Noah was a nice guy.

https://www.nytimes.com/1983/11/01/spor ... ation.html

2 years later he won the Super Bowl.

Then his QB was injured every year and then he became TV Mike Ditka but he had a solid 8 year run as a great coach.

Doc, not thinking much about it, vague question with no criteria, which franchises have done less with more in the last 20-30 years? I certainly don’t think Packers. I think Chiefs and Vikings, a little Chargers, and then a little Packers and Saints. Maybe the Peyton Colts? Maybe the Falcons last 5 years if recency bias comes into play. I don’t think the early 90s Bills count because that’s a hell of a thing to accomplish despite its infamy.

Chargers are a big one.

The McNabb Eagles wasted many good teams. That's probably #1.

Vikings.

Bills. Or do we just say they were lucky in the regular season and their true colors only came out in the Superbowl.

The Eagles McNabb ones are tough. Wasted in terms of SB championships like the 90’s Bills but like them I also somewhat feel that was their peak and they didn’t necessarily underachieve. Just weren’t able to get over that field goal sized hump necessarily.

Luckily no current Chicago contender has such a concern.

Don't think I haven't recalled the Packers have had a healthy HoF QB for the past 27 years and only won 2 SBs.

And one was because the Bears QB got injured.

Past 25 of 27 years*

I also appreciate the fact Cutler wasn’t as tough as Favre and gifted us the 2010 SB birth. Todd Collins deserves a Packers Ring of Honor ceremony as much as Clay Matthews does

While I embrace the board fodder Favrefan is putting down, Beni is curious what Farvio DiCaro is predicting for the 2019 green and gold. GD came out strong. What's Farvio predicting for the Pack?

Official prediction is Minnesota, GB, and Chicago all tie for 11-5 causing Frank Costanza’s $52 body to explode and wipe out all 3 teams while leaving the vacationing 5-10-1 Lions to take the division and letting Beni retire off the 18-1 preseason bet he made on the Lions to win the North.

You’re welcome my friend.

Packers 11-5
Vikings 10-6
Bears 7-9
Lions 5-11

*all this is subject to change by week 1 or really whenever the fuck

Nah. He nearly spawned a dynasty. Losing that year woulda spurned a change in coach and a 3 SB in 5 year run.

That injury permanently altered the Packers, Patriots, and the last decade of football. Can’t wait for the 30 for 30 on the Hanie injury.

gd pointed out that the Lions have David Fales now....so...you know...consider that.

If David Fales screws the Bears over, I will be unhappy.
