Frankly my thoughts demographically don't matter. I'm aging out and more of a college football fan that increasingly dislikes the NFL.

But, get rid of two exhibition games and I begrudgingly like it. Especially if it means expanding the rosters.

Roger Goodell is turning this league into a laughingstock. First the we dont know what a catch thing is and then the leading with the helmet thing that was ultimately largely abandoned by the end of the year, now after a disgraceful missed PI call in the playoffs (and there is no excuse in the world for that shit, none, its indefensible) they're gonna open PI up to review which is going to turn into a total shit show. this dude over reacts to everything.

I got a very bad feeling about the new review rules. I'm not ready for a 5 hour NFL game.
And yeah your players are suffering from a culmination of sub concussive hits, let's add games. Oh wait sure theres a personal limit of 16 brilliant so every position needs to have a backup for a backup then.

18 games is more money but the players only get paid for 16. So the teams only have to pay minimum salaries to practice squad level players to make it up.

That is laughable. The players are guaranteed a percentage of league revenue. Their piece goes up if there is 18 games. The players also have to approve an 18 game season.

They are in early negotiations for the next cba. They want a deal prior to the start of this season.

The players are not going to make more money playing in the same amount of games. Fringe players will obviously benefit though.

This was floated out there for a reason. They aren't doing this next season but 2021 isn't that far away.
