Shoutout to some of Darko's peeps. Came home from a trip last night to find our AC not working. Called them at 8:30 this morning and by 10am everything was fixed and good. And I offered him a bottle of water to make sure Sandy wouldn't get mad at me.

Had a leak in the refrigerant. We are on our last legs with this system. It is over 20 years old.

Just scored a sweet little drum kit on eBay.

'90s Pearl Masters Custom, thin 4 ply maple shells with reinforcement rings. 20" bass drum, rare 15" floor tom and emerald green to boot.

Five year old post starts kindergarten on Monday. He has been really interested in large ships for a while now, cargo ships, tanker ships, but mostly passenger ships. He likes when I tell him stories about ships - pirate ships, passenger ships, etc.

For the past two months I have told him stories about a passenger ship “the Enchantment of the Seas.”

On Monday I surprised him by taking him on a four night cruise. When I say surprised, I mean I don’t think he understood what was going on till we were literally in the stateroom. You should have probably guessed the ship we are on is the Enchanment of the Seas.

He literally said “This is the ship of our dreams” and “Dreams come true” approximately 100 times the first day on the ship. It is night three tonight, and we have one full day tomorrow. Sure it has been challenging at times being one on one with a five year old, but this is by far the best vacation I have ever taken. I wish I could replay those first few hours on the ship for the rest of my life. He’ll only be this young once and life just moves too fucking fast.

Nice. Enjoy it. It goes even faster when you don't enjoy it and plan on more.

Bravo, sir. I’m taking my 4-year old to a Cardinals game next week and could not be more excited. I just hope he enjoys it half as much as I will.
