6 of Cousins 8 wins last season were against teams that finished 8-8 or worse.

I'm only seeing a win against an Eagles team that was struggling at the time. What was the other team?

We have our first PI challenge! And it’s, shockingly, a bad one.

Agreed.

I may possibly have wagered $20 on Atlanta +2.5

I believe it’s referred to as a gambling problem.

It’s an easy way to throw $20 on something for entertainment value and it’s probably coming out of my $500/month weed/alcohol budget so I doubt I’ll miss it if the Falcons let me down.

 well as long as you got a plan for it.

I am not that big of a gambler, but I just cannot fathom putting money on a preseason football game...they are so random..no one has any clue who is going to win or lose.

Counterpoint: the star WR might need his foot amputated

Second counterpoint: Marc Trestman's teams had talent and athletes all over the field.

I enjoyed seeing the Browns come out to start the game in a two minute drill. Baker's gonna have a year.

Quote:
DETROIT — The first smattering of boos by Detroit Lions fans came late in the first half Thursday night, and it mattered little that it was a meaningless exhibition game.

This was 27 game minutes into Detroit’s 31-3 loss to the New England Patriots in the preseason opener at Ford Field, and the Lions trailed by 20 and were getting bludgeoned.

Outgained 210 yards to 41.

Unable to move the football consistently.

And the play that tipped the scales: A sack by defensive end Derek Rivers, New England’s fifth in only 18 offensive plays by Detroit.

So yes, a few fans dressed in Honolulu blue and silver booed. Considering the 60-plus years of misery that Lions fans have endured, it’s easy to understand why some voiced their displeasure in that moment, and why a few more voiced their displeasure with their favorite team still scoreless at halftime.

The boos were revealing, as they reflected the frustration of the fan base as general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia enter their second season together following a 6-10 campaign that left some wondering if Detroit would have been better off keeping Patricia’s predecessor, Jim Caldwell, who was fired after consecutive 9-7 seasons.

Poor CHUSE

Adding injury to insult, it also looks like Jermaine Kearse's career was brought to an untimely end last night. This is gruesome:

That isn't true to date. Should be true this year or it's a problem for Pacey

He's not. He has a generational RB, he been in his system for 3 years, but (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky outplayed him in fewer games.

Generational is the most overused term in sports, and RB is the most easily replaceable position in the league. He's been with a shitty coach since being drafted with almost no WR talent and all he's done is consistently win and put his team in position to win games. If Nagy and Garrett switched roles this wouldn't even be a debate and Mitch would be on his way out of the league.

On the other hand, if Nagy had Elliot and the Cowboys offensive line, the Bears would have gone 14-2, put up 30 points on the Eagles, and won the Super Bowl last year.
