Panthers will probably try hard so as to give the team confidence for the rest of the year. Bears will purposely stall drives on the Panther side of the field so they can kick field goals.

These early games aren't bad actually. You only have to devote 20-30minutes to watch the actual game, because by the end of the 1st quarter mostly scrubs are playing. Then you get read or listen to the game recaps online the following day. Perfect wetting of the football whistle.

I'll be interested to see Montgomery and Wims on offense as well as Shelley (Duke, not Percy Bysshe) on defense.

I'd love to see one of the UDFA TE make an impact. Maybe it will light a fire under Shaheen's ass. This is the NFL. If you want to play TE you have to be able to play hurt. I think either Bunting or Raymond will make the team with the other being on the practice squad. If both show, maybe you move sowell back to OT and keep them both.

The Bears should be good this year so I’m not too concerned with seeing the starters -better to let them get their reps in practices leading up to the season and keep them healthy.


Pre seasons like this one are all about watching the new talent on the team and giving the coaches as much of a game scenario chance of making decisions on who to keep and who not to.


I’m looking forward to seeing Whyte, Ridley, Wims and Montgomery as well as some of the late round DB’s we grabbed.
