North said that about Chat room questions. I find that funny coming from a guy who brags about how good of an interviewer he is. I agree he asks tough questions but he is scared to answer them. How would we bait him? I'm not sure what that means. We would ask him about his show, perceived racism, his lack of accuracy at times and he could answer.

I think the problem is that North doesn't have control. When you have a radio show you can take critisism from a caller and then cut him off and always have the last word. That's why tough guy Pappy is scared of us.

Actually, I can't blame North or any other host for not wanting to post here.

It's one thing to not like North's show, and a lot of you have valid reasons for your views, but there's way too many posts here just calling names, personal attacks, etc.

And how is that different than the way Mikey conducts his "show"?

Take away the innuendo, rumor, personal bias, stereotyping, name calling, racial slurs, jumping to conclusions, flogging deceased equines, and leaps of logic that would shame Bob Beamon & Mikey just might have to get back to discussing sports.

I think a lot of his arguments are lacking substance, but I don't hear the personal attacks that you do.

BD I haven't listened regularly for a while but I remember for the longest time that any time the following names came up Mikey always had a corresponding tag

Ted Kennedy= Drunk
Hillary Clinton= Lesbian
Bill Clinton= Blow Job
Jesse Jackson= Coward
John Kerry= Liar

and those are just off the top of my head. As to the racial slurs, who can forget "the Battlin' Polacks", the whole New Orleans "black" looters silliness, and the current "more chins than a Chinese phonebook"

I get what BD is saying, but for BD to even hint that Mike North does not personally attack people is just plain old fashioned ignant.

As for baiting, lemme give u dis one.

This is the only public forum where people can call North out on his racist comments and his stupid and uninformed comments. I'm sure he gets emails but he has the ability to spin his responses or ignore them. By not responding here North proves to be the coward that he claims those who duck him are.

I've noticed that the guys covering the media beat don't get on him. I think that North befriends these guys. He probrally see's them in public, slaps them on the back and buddy up to them. There is no way that the press should ignore some of North's stupidity and racism the way they have. I think some of these beat reporters have aspirations of being on the air and don't want to ruin there chances by criticising a guy that they perceive to have alot of pull.

Guy's like North always prove to be hypocrite's. They use the "freedom of speech" power which they have every right to do. North likes to bill himself as a guy who is opinionated and unafraid to speak his mind. But when someone else uses that right against him North is the first to discredit them.

He just says that all chat rooms are for freaks and we are all cowards. How is this board any different then "Letters to the editor" in newspapers or people calling in to talk shows to criticize. All of those people are anonymous. North just wishes he can spew his stupidity, inacuracy, and racism and just move on without having to answer to it. That's your typical tough guy free speaking North. That qualifies North as a coward to me.

Do guys remember how he much he made fun of Scottie Pippen and how he talked back during the Bulls run?

now Scottie is a regular on ESPN baskeball coverage and does a descent job. I hope Scottie eventually takes over for Dead.....I mean Red Kerr.
