Hey Walt, I'll point out that I was one of the first to recognize Bricks and Mortar:

I think Magic Wand has a really strong chance in there and Bandua has an outside shot to wire the field.

Me and Mrs. W_Z will be there.

I’ve discovered a Discord chat and Twitch feed about horse racing and I’m really down the rabbit hole already.

Fareeq ran 5f in 55.98 today. and horses were closing on him...that was .08 of a second off the record (3rd fastest)...with no rain in the forecast that turf is going to be lightning fast. Handicap accordingly

Looking for an upset by #5 Hunting Horn, though Bricks and Mortar will be very tough to beat. H.H. set fast fractions in the Man o' War and had a blow-out E2 of 116, when he led by as much as seven lengths down the stretch before getting caught. If he can rate better, he's got a good chance. The Man o' War at Belmont was 1f farther than the Million is.

While lacking class, H.H. is 4-1 fair value by speed in the number crunching vs. 12-1 on the M/L.

I'm almost certain Bandua will have the lead in there.

Here are my thoughts on the back half of the card tomorrow.

Race-8 Bruce D. Tons of speed inside and out. Think it will set up nicely for 11-Dabo who really is one of the few closers in the race. Gets top jock Valdivia in the irons and is a perfect 3 for 3 at AP. The 4- Can’t Hide from Me and the 7=Big Drink of Water both make sense and should be players in this race at a fair price

11-7-4-8-9

Race-9 Beverly D I don’t see anyone beating 7-Sistercharlie, not in this race. She is a very strong closer who will get a lot of pace and is just too strong

7-1

Race-10 Secretariat I’m looking at the 6-Fog of War (Brown/Ortiz, Jr.) who was last seen just missing out to Win Win Win at Belmont. Think he’s going to get a perfect pressing trip. Also keep an eye on 5-Ry’s The Guy who has been in the money in all 6 starts and will be a huge price

6-5-1

Race 11-Million…I see JORR’s point of the 10-Bandura being able to wire the field. Clearly the 3-Bricks and Motar is a terrific horse and I’ve bet him each time he’s raced. And the 1-Robert Bruce is the returning champ and is in terrific form. I just think that those two are going to be compromised by the pace, or lack thereof as I see it. That’s why I’m going to include this bomb-the 4-Catcho En Die. Sophie Doyle is quietly having a terrific meet and this horse is 2 for 2 ITM at AP. I think this race is more wide open then people will think at first glance. The 9-Intelogent is real wild card as well as the 5-Hunting Horn (per Rube)

4-10-3-1-9

Race 12-Pucker Up I really liked the 10-Art of Almost who has done quite well up at Woodbine, and I think that form is going to transfer here. Think the 11-Café Americano will be overbet. Chris Block’s 5-Winning Envelope ran well enough in the Hatoof here at AP and may be sitting on a big race.

10-5-8-9

Good Luck everyone!

In the Beverly D it's hard for me to see beyond Sistercharlie even if Magic Wand goes in there. I actually think the Million is a better spot for Magic Wand. One thing about all these races today is that they are light on speed and front end contention. Thais seems to be outclassed and in the race as a rabbit for Sistercharlie but if the course is really speed favoring I could see a scenario where she isn't caught. She ran very well in this race last year.

In the Secretariat I'm very interested in Clint Maroon. He should be a big price and he fits in here on the figs. It's another race with not a lot of pace and he figures to be sitting up close behind The Last Zip and Fog Of War. I agree with OTE about Ry's The Guy. He looked like a different animal when they put him on the turf.

I don't really like the Million too much. Of course Bricks And Mortar can win. I may take a swing with Bandua depending upon how the track is playing. If Robert Bruce is some silly price I can see myself betting on him in here. And I will give Magic Wand strong consideration if she goes in here rather than the Beverly D.

In the 3rd at Saratoga if the race stays on the grass I think My Scared Place will break his maiden today.

In the 11th at Saratoga I'm hoping for a very hot pace. Blue Parrot is going to have to pass some horses but I expect big improvement this time out.

Good luck, boys!

The Secretariat was an unmitigated disaster for me.

I took a chance with JORR on Clint Maroon and we felt like maroons after it. Wound up being down but didn’t lose that much. Expensive lunch I call it.
