I used to think all my friends were like me in following sports, listening to sports talk, etc. I'd get a little in depth on a conversation and they'd look at me like I had a third eye (thank you miller for your tale).

However, they nerd out on things like music, so we all have our thing.

There is definitely a change in the "experts" that appear frequently on the station, especially when it comes to baseball analysis. Gone are the days of the personable former player/manager who may or may not be watching games. They have moved on to team broadcasters or baseball analytics types. Maybe this is because not many people grow up playing baseball anymore? Remember hearing the other day when one of the online analytic guys was trying to explain what "good stuff" meant and that a good slider was a good pitch.

LoHo's proposition is that if you like anything a lot, you are a nerd. Do you study religious history? You are a nerd. Do you like gardening? Nerd. Do you love microbrews? You are a nerd. Like cooking a lot? Very nerdy. Enjoy reading about the history of the light bulb? Nerd. Do you follow Hollywood (or Bollywood) gossip? You are a nerd.

And I would say if everyone is a nerd, then nobody is a nerd. I think he just got triggered by something again that he felt challenged his manhood so he had to do that very, very long and very meaningless rant instead of actually talking about sports or something interesting. You like comic books? Fine with me... I don't like them but you can. I like modern board games. You might not. These aren't big deals to anybody.
