I'm talkin media coverage. NATIONAL media coverage, so dont give me ur Score bullshit.

Summer is baseball time, but yet all the talk shows and media do is talk about NBA and NFL.

Why? Who gives a fuck about projections, or who's attendin' minicamps, or is this gonna be the year Tom Brady falls off?

What the fuck?

There's fuckin 15 baseball games EVERYDAY, an dnot once do u ever tune in to First Take and hear about baseball. Not once do u tune in to Colin Cowherd and hear about baseball.

Why is this? SO much to talk about in baseball, guys coming up, going down, banner years, down years, exciting playoff races, etc.

SO why is baseball just reduced to showing one or 2 highlights on SPortscenter for each game and that's it? Hell some games dont even get highlights shown at all.

Is it because baseball is a non-controversial sport that doesnt change rules that much, and doesn't have the stigma of race so attached to it (see the NBA)?

To me this is BS. why the hell, after 9 months of dragging on would u STILL wanna talk about the NBA in the summer?

Why are you watching ESPN for your source of sports news?

I'm not. But I've seen enough sampling the last 8-9 years to see that that's how they treat baseball. Just because we know how something works doesn't mean I'm sitting there tuning in like a dumbass everyday.

Same with the ESPN website (this I do frequent). None of the headlines are ever for baseball. And it's this way every day. Right now, 4 of the 6 headlines are for football and one for Team USA. On the Top Events ticker, UFC and pre-season NFL are shwon BEFORE MLB. I mean what the fuck?

Back in the 90s and 2000s, baseball used to be the shit on ESPN. Extensive highlights, catch phrases, advertising of the various ballparks and cities, etc.

I understand what you're saying. I just wouldn't get worked up over it. ESPN is just catering to their audience and the NBA and NFL has mass appeal while baseball has primarily become a regional sport. And I remember what you are talking about with baseball on ESPN. My friends and I used to make a point of getting home in order to watch Baseball Tonight. Go out drinking. Get home and make some food and watch Baseball Tonight. That was just about all of my college years.

Instead of complaining about ESPN why not just watch MLB Network?
