True. The Bulls were nowhere near as good as Magic's Lakers or Bird's Celtics or the recent Warriors which all had multiple scoring options.

They were better than the Warriors. I agree about the Celtics and Lakers however.

I have understanding with how numbers can be inflated. Jordan's numbers were impacted by playing on a lot of teams where he was the only scoring option. Still shot 50% for his career.

I guarantee you that Curry won't hit 60% this year. When he doesn't then you will be left stating that its because he didn't play with elite players. Well that was Michael Jordans world for the first 6 years of his career.

Well that, and Jordan was getting clotheslined on the way to the rim. Tends to affect the ol’ FG%

It's not a problem if you can hit from halfcourt.

But you're doing exactly what I'm talking about- diminishing another guy to support what you already "know": Jordan is the GOAT and it is undisputed.

I’m doing no such thing. It’s a fact that Jordan played under much different and much tougher defensive rules. Are you going to call that fact an opinion too?

I'm saying that Curry's skills don't render him prone to those rules.

You sound a little like Barkley: the game evolved to an apex at the time he and Jordan played and has been devolving since they retired.

I don’t sound like Barkley at all. I’ve been Steph’s biggest advocate on this entire board. I think he’s a special player and one of the best and most important players in the history of the league. You can find several threads spanning the last three years in this section of me and ltg going back and forth on how good Steph is.

It’s amusing to me that you’re attempting to spin “not as good as Michael Jordan” into a negative or a term of disrespect.

Hand checking is a rule that would have effected Curry. So would the physical nature of how the game was played then. They would have banged him around on all those screens. Not mention attacks to the bucket.

You sure don't think he is great enough to carry his team to the playoffs this year. So there are limits to his greatness quite obviously.

What? I just said that I expect them to make the playoffs if him and Draymond stay healthy. Read better.

Take the bet then. I have a $100 which says they won't. Doesn't matter to me if he and Draymond play 70 + or not. Both will get exposed this year. Book it!

Curry and Kerr could make the playoffs with the White Sox roster.

It sounds good until it doesn't. Which will be sometime in March.

We may do some action on that. We’ll talk 6 weeks from now when preseason is booting up. I’ve been all NFL for a month now and haven’t been thinking about the nba much so far this month.

Hatchet says its a no brainer. I won't do it if one of those guys goes down in the preseason. Wouldn't be right.

I also may have to wait to see if any of the primary guys from the other teams goes down too. We can hold off til the start of the regular season. After the season starts alll bets are off.

Jordan often sat the bulk of the fourth quarter as the Bulls were usually up by 20 points. He likely would have averaged 8 more points.

Anyone who disparages Lebron is an idiot. If he had chosen to score 40 points a game, who would have stopped him?
