Family lake house in Green Lake Wisconsin just went on the market. Thought we would have this place for the rest of our lives, but didn't work out that way.

Not happy with the pictures taken by the realtor. She left out some great views and the lighting is terrible.

Never a rental. Our next door neighbor did that one summer and after seeing the riff raff that rented the place my mom was like no fucking way. I remember one weekend an Indian family crammed over 30 people into the house, a 4 bedroom at most.

House is big. We used to have family reunion weekends up there every summer. Even now, when its just our immediate families up there it does fill the place. The bunk room is pretty sweet. The kids love it.

I tried to convince my parents to downsize and get a smaller and cheaper place, but they don't want to do that. Keep in mind they still live in the 5000 sq foot house I grew up in, only now with just the two of them. Been trying to convince them to sell that one as well and downsize, but not interested. Although I don't know how much that one would make, it was built in 76 and would be a total renovation for anyone who bought it.

I agree, it is interesting. I appreciate the correction. I know its the deepest lake such and such, but I keep forgetting exactly what it is. Only thing I know for sure is it's the deepest inland (thanks Frank!) lake in Wisconsin and I think it's 239 feet at it's deepest but it might be 262. I get that confused as well.
