Culver's is great, strong disagree there. My one issue with it is the price. It can get expensive taking the family there compared to some of the other alternative's but the food is tasty.

The kids meal are about $6 which includes a burger, small fry, drink and scoop of custard. Save your scoop coupons and have Culver's scooped custard for free anytime you want it. They also have coupons in their calendar. If you live in a town with a Culvers they sometimes run a coupon ad in the weekly sales papers. Also if you buy a gift card in December you get a free meal coupon. Plus they have free one scoop sundae for your birthday. They also take expired coupons and they often have promotions for family night or other random offers. There are plenty of ways to save money there.

The difference is that custard is much higher in fat than Dairy Queen. Plus Culver's had many more options.

I was going to try one for lunch today, and my local Popeyes is sold out of them. This is some bullshit.

Try that Impossible Whopper from Burger King instead.

A lot of locations have run out. This is by far the best fast food marketing campaign this year.

I haven't yet tried the Popeyes new chicken sandwich yet but from my informal observation of the parking lot and drive through of the Morton Grove location on Golf Road there was a line of cars from the street trying to get through today. I do not recall hype about a fast food item like this from any other place. I know at 1 time the McRib from McDonald's with their false scarcity created with marketing and limited time frame promotion of said sandwich a couple years ago made it for a popular in demand item. But this Popeyes thing looks to be pushing the companies profit margins into over drive and the corporate heads are probably dancing in their offices with the success this chicken sandwich has created.

On a side note I see some funny memes posted on Twitter / Instagram regarding the popularity of the Popeyes chicken sandwich: :D

Tried it Saturday, Irving Park and Ashland. One person in line at drive thru ahead of me. Got 2 spicy sandwiches, but was denied extra pickles cause they are running out.

Very overrated. Sandwich was huge, but way too much batter. Several bites were just fried batter. The amount of batter overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich. Didn't taste much spice because of it. There was a sauce, but it was hard to taste because of the aforementioned batter.

I consider myself a fast food aficionado so I’ve been trying to get my hands on one for a while. I’m 0-5... 4 times they were sold out and the fifth time they had them but they were frozen and had to be thawed and I didn’t have the 45 mins to wait.

I think our burger of the month will just be one of these between the patty and the top bun.

When you look at the price of a kid's meal compared to other restaurants, price-wise the custard is free. It's a $1 more than the snack pack and it's essentially a one scoop sundae, which is close to $3 if purchased separately.

This would read entirely different had you posted it on AlabamaFanatics.com

Sounds like it’s gone until October. Somehow, the Popeye’s near me still had a ridiculously long line a couple days ago. Literally have never seen more than two cars there any time until then.

On Tuesday, my wife had a craving for Popeyes, which has never ever happened before. I drove her to the closest one, in North Chicago. It was a fucking madhouse. Apparently they have meal deals on Tuesdays...who'dathunkit? Anyways, I pulled in to the drive thru lane, got stuck with my ass end out in the street. The line didn't move for five fucking minutes. She decided to walk in and wanted me to wait in line to see which went faster. I said no way and since I was still half in the street just turned right out of the line.

I drove up a little ways on Green Bay Rd to a place called Toby's. Great broasted chicken, btw. I managed two VO and gingers before heading back and picking her up at Popeye's.

I'll say this, the chicken sammich is pretty damn good. It's the sauce that makes it though.

What, what a unique sauce! I managed to get a hold of their proprietary recipe:

mayonnaise
