Who wants 12 hours of Bears pre-game?

I understand why they talk Cubs being the radio home and a team likely making the playoffs. Saying that, how does baseball being an old man's game factor into their targeted audience? Isn't a younger demo more likely to want Bears/NFL talk vs. Cubs rotation/service time talk or do young people even listen to begin with, which makes Cubs baseball conversation more appealing?

A younger demo wants to hear about the blood feud developing between NBA players on Instagram, which reportedly began when one said "sweaty put a donk on it" followed by seventeen emojis. But I don't think they're listening to AM radio.

Dude, stop being a retard.

You started out so strong, then...sad.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky may be better than Brees this season.

Fitzpatrick and Brissett might be better than Brees this season. Brees' arm was DEAD at the end of last season. He could be to 2019 what Peyton Manning was to 2015 and Brett Favre to 2010.

The fuck? Jesse Rodgers and/or Bruce Levine and/or Zach Zaidman are on the two sports stations every single day. The Score has weekly hits with Ron Coomer and pitcing coach Tommy Hotavie (spelling?). Phil Rodgers and Gorden Wittenmeyer are weekly Score guests. Anthony Rizzo has a weekly show with Kap. The Score will carry Joe Maddon press conferences as they happen MANY Times during the year.

So how stupid are you to make such a post?

I only part I agree with is the part about Hub. They don't do the other things for most sports because they aren't as popular as the NFL.

Regarding Cubs coverage, any time you turn on AM1000 during baseball season Jesse Rogers is either on or is going to be on in 10 minutes to talk about them.

I guess I should have clarified my remarks yesterday..it would have been refreshing if they had started out talking Bears yesterday...it’s a short week..why not put the Cubs on the back burner for an hour or two and meatball it up with some Bears conversation. This Cubs team is not special and probably will get popped in the wild card game, assuming they hold on to the second wild card spot. If the Sox were in the same position, I would say the same thing.

Paul Allen the Vikings reporter, has a little more fun at Haugh's expense. Talked a little about how he got "fired" by the morning show. Good stuff.

It is why i stopped listening to the Score and caring about Football.

With the other Sports at least there were actual games to discuss.

Its oversaturation. Particularly in the years in which the Bears stink. I used to love football but wall to wall coverage drove me away. I will try and watch a little more this year but the coverage of it doesn't belie the interest.

I would argue there isn't enough daily Bears coverage. In fact I've probably texted the station daily complaining about it.

Its fine now. They should be talking Bears at this point of the season. However when there are other sports going on Bears talk becomes repetitive, mundane, and frankly boring if its all they are discussing. If the Bears are 5-10 in late December you can bet 90% of the discussion will be about "Fire the GM/Coach" or "trade the quarterback". After about a thousand of such discussions I started checking out and never looked back. I have been better for having done so
