The Bears offense will take a major step and their defense will look explosive. Leonard Floyd will look like a baby Mack.

Bears win 34-17

packers fans will be going through an existential crises by 11 pm

All that money spent on the off season on defense will result in pressures but no sacks and Amos will not be able to retain coverage. Bears 31-Packers 10.

As stated in the Packers Week thread;
Frank Coztansa wrote:
I think the Bears win, but its not going to be a dominating cakewalk. Rodgers is still good and will end up making a couple of plays here and there to get points on the board. Fully confident in a Bears victory, but it won't be a blowout.

26-20 BEARS
Defense is usually ahead of the offense early in the season. O/U 46.5, take the under.

Hopefully the Packers' offense sputters early, clearing the way for Rodgers to override La Fleur's play calls and provoking an on-camera confrontation between coach and QB.

Bears 27
Pack 23

Surprised to see some picking the Packers to score 20+ points.

This is a very interesting point. People seem to forget that Amos was regarded as a marginal player before Mack joined the team. I look for Nagy to target Amos early and often tonight.

In this vein either your way or because he has picked his ass off the ground for the 10th time I want to see disgusted, sad, aggravated Aaron face.

A rookie and a run stopper at safety. Send Cordarelle to run the one pattern his mind seems to be able to master to draw coverage then let Cohen and Robinson feast. This would have been a great game to have Burton.

Mitch has to show that he can hit that deep pass just once and this game is over.

It's really heartening to walk around the loop today and see my brothers in fandom decked out in Bears wear. It's like the entire city had dress down day

34-30 Bears

Not enough is mentioned about how bad the Packers were at tackling last year and I'm banking on Montgomery, Cohen and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to total over 200 yards of rushing. Rodgers spends most of the first half on his back because of shitty play calling and then comes out the second half and runs the offense down the Bears throats for a while, but I think the Bears survive.

Rodgers is healthy and always capable of running up 21 points in the blink of an eye.

Doesn't matter much when your offense scores touchdowns in the redzone. The Bears got to the redzone a lot and settled for field goals last season. Those trips have to turn into more touchdowns this season. That's primarily on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and Nagy.

I see.

In case you're wondering why I'm on a Bears thread: I'm a backsliding Bears fan since '84. The late hit on Mc Mahon was the nail in my Bears coffin and I went back to The Cardinals who had moved out West, as had I.

I'm gonna stick with the Bears this year. They get WAY more televised games! :D
