Shit, my mind had already blocked that one out. C'mon Nagy!

It did occur to me today, listening to “experts” discuss how Patterson’s KR game will be an advantage when -

1 - You basically only have a KR after giving up points.

2 - Nobody returns a KO any longer

Him and Savage played very well. Shut down your offense.

He was all over the field on both of those plays

On the vast majority of plays. Meshed well with the overwhelming pass rush.

Those were both terrible options. Blaming the loss on the choice of one over the other rather than everything leading up to that point and the idiocy following it is dumb.

It didn't cost them the game, but it may cost them in the next few as the kicker's confidence is shot.

It's just as likely we'd be whining about the kicker's confidence and the stupidity of going for such a long kick in that situation, especially just to get to 7-6. I'm far more comfortable complaining about the playcall and the preceding events than the decision to kick or go for it there.

Nope every team in the league would attempt a 50-Yard FG there.

Disagree. I believe 4th down bot has it close between going for it and kicking in that situation and it's quite easy for me to see more aggressive coaches like Belichick and McVay going for it there even without a relatively untested kicker like the Bears have. I just don't get honing in on that decision compared to the general incompetence displayed by the offense throughout the game.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky in post game basically,

"We didn't have a rhythm tonight. We had it in practice every time and I know you guys want to say it's because we didn't play much in preseason and that might have been but it comes down to figuring out why we weren't all in sync tonight. We'll look at the tape and see what we did wrong.

Should've played more snaps in preseason.

"We have to do a better job balancing run versus pass plays. We're a better football team when we're more balanced.

Nagy should've ran the ball more.

And he actually had one chance at a return at the end, and muffed it for a touchback.

Pad their stats like 3 points allowed? Green Bay’s defense dominated this game and Amos and Savage were a big part of that.

I bit my tongue about Nagy's preseason strategy because it ultimately worked out when it came to overall regular season success last year. It's quite annoying however to drop a second straight opening game to the Packers in a rather embarrassing fashion with rust being cited as an excuse, especially because the rest of the schedule isn't going to be as easy as last year.

Not really.

You watched a different game

At least the factory floor will be swept well tomorrow because this fucking loser was thrown a bone. We saved lives.

You've had quite a few days with laughably ignorant tboughts, finishing with sixth grade level insults are about the best you can do.

Shocking to no one who watched you embarrass yourself in the Burton thread. Now go ahead and play in Soldier Field traffic.

Biggest Nagy gripes are Patterson run up the middle on 3rd and 1, 7 total touches for Montgomery (who Nagy wanted to trade up for), and the decision to not take the long FG.

I guess the 5 sacks were coverage sacks

If your kicker is untested, that is your fault. If you are in the NFL, you should be able to make a 50-yrd FG.

Especially on 4th-and-10.

There’s a kicker on Minny’s practice squad that can make that.

Refs gave the packers an extra 1-2 seconds on the play clock the entire night. There were a handful of plays where the ball was snapped late with no call

Relying on trey burton is dangerous to a persons employment. We all saw the warm ups. A person with a greater intestinal fortitude would have played

His not answering the call has had a big impact on the last two games

No doubt

Fucking total of 6 yards difference if they missed, 9 if they end up a yard short of the first.
You have to go for the kick, or if your to chickenshit try and pin them inside the 5.
