I'm not sure I can stomach all the rehashing of this steaming pile of horse dung on sports radio for the next week. Guess it's old time radio shows for me.

That's the maddest I've ever heard Hamp and O'B after a game. OB's anger is usually feigned for show, but not Hamp's. That was for real.

I warned everyone about Nagy. That was supposed to be an offensive genius coach last night? It was the worst game plan and playing calling I've ever seen, not to mention the atrocious call not to go for the field goal on 4th down.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky? The guy could not have looked more inept. If this is year three, then he's unfixable and the Bears better have a plan B. He's just not smart enough to be an NFL quarterback.

The Bears have neglected their offensive line for a while in the draft, and they were exposed last night. Since the '85 team, they have never got those positions right. What a woeful performance.

If the Bears really had balls, they should fire Nagy and promote Pagano to HC. Why let the trainwreck continue when you have a proven guy on the staff that could immediately step into the role?

For their part, the Packers and Rodgers looked pretty shitty, too. The Lions will be better than both these teams.

Rogers was taking the play clock down tying to diagnose coverages. Pagano actually confused him a few times early which rarely happens, but Rogers got them a few times. Contrast that with Bears where plays came in late and Mitch would stare blankly at the D, make the wrong protection call, and miss open man. The loss belongs to Nagy who thought he had outsmarted the league, but may not quite be the genius he thinks he his.

The Bears defense could say the same thing about Rodgers in that game though.

To the point of a dopey GM trading up one spot to get "his" guy.

The entire route tree on that play was fucking horrible.

Run a bunch of curl routes against single high coverage. Send the Robinson to the corner. Terrible.

Is Burton this important? Was blocking optional? Is (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky mentally challenged? Did Nagy use the same playbook from the Eagles game? When will the defense start complaining loudly?

The best offensive drive of the game the Bears ended up 1st and 40.

Rodgers made the couple big throws necessary to win a game like that. That was the difference

Yet all I have heard from members of the media is how Nagy can scheme guys open. Didn't see too many wide open guys last night.

...and that Rodgers is a HOF QB whereas Mitch has yet to establish himself as anything other than a passer whose greatest asset is his running ability.

That wasn't the quote though.

The point is that both offenses were mostly garbage. The Bears defense also did enough to Rodgers so the Bears "could win".

No they didn’t.

That game, even with an incredibly poor performance by the Bears offense, was within 7 points the entire game. The Bears will make the playoffs if the defense plays like that in every game.

I don't know if Burton, himself, is important but a better than competent TE is essential to this offense and they don't have one without Burton.

  1st and 40/. I didn't even think that was possible.

Twenty combined penalties last night shows just how sloppy of a game it really was.

If only the league had some games before this one that don’t count towards your record where teams could play each other and work on things like that .

Mitch running 3 for11 eleven yards. Sacked 5 times. Mitch's running ability and ability to avoid sacks are strong points for him. Sounds like Nagy wants him to tone down the running, but that's Mitch's thing. Running can be dangerous for QBs, but Mitch did it sensibly last year always hitting the dirt or going out of bounds. I think the offense will have more success if Mitch runs for more than 11 yards to keep the defense honest.
