Nagy owns this loss, will see if Mac applies some old school heat to his backside today. Chicago sports media had treating Nagy like a god, that all should end after last nights Trestman like coaching performance.

I know Mac isn't sold on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Not sure about Nagy.

Idve thought the offense’s performance at home last year against Philly would’ve been enough to take the bloom off that rose.

Parkins begins to walk back his knob gobbling of Nagy today. He makes the show a really tough listen with his appeal to authority. Let's see if he can finally join reality like everyone else slowly is.

Parkins' insufferable verbal fellatio of Nagy is one of the reasons I have largely stopped listening to this show. His adoration of all things Matt Nagy reminds me of Bernstein's initial adoration of Trestman.

His basic passing mechanics are horrible.

Missed a wide open receiver on 3rd down which led to the 4th and 1o debacle.

I said it at the time, Houston and KC won the 2017 draft.

Ryan Pace fucked up. Mitch has zero field vision.

Yep. I still remember when the trade up was announced. I was positive they were taking Watson. And now we have to hope beyond belief Pace can identify the next "franchise QB".

and the fact that he traded up for no reason to get him.

I'm not ready to jump off the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky bandwagon but his play in the pro bowl concerned me. I know that sounds crazy but he looked lost essentially playing pick up football.

Parkins: I still don't think it's in the realm of possibiliby that Nagy is a bad coach.

Five years ago, people said the same thing about Joe Maddon.

Considering the source, I think what that translates to is I still don't think it's in the realm of possibiliby that I was wrong.

The true test of Pace's accountability will be if he signs (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to a big extension. My guess is he does, even if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky struggles, because otherwise it's an admission that his most important move was a failure.

Bortles got a 3 year, $54 million extension. Something like that seems reasonable.

A (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky extension could easily spell the end of Pace and Nagy.

Heard all summer how much Mitch had advanced in the system, but it looked like he still locks in on first read way too long, take the first option away and he looks lost. Not playing his offensive line in the pre-season likely cost him the game, the line needs live reps to work on timing and communication, they were a step slow all night which resulted in numerous holding penalties. They even screwed up the first few scripted plays that they had supposedly been working on for the past two weeks. You risk injuries to starters by playing them in the pre-season, but you also risk losing early games because your team is not ready to play, that falls on Nagy who thought he was outsmarting the league, but got overwhelmingly outsmarted by Mike Pettine, who provided a blueprint on how to shut down the Nagy offense for the rest of the NFL.

Giving way too much credit to the Packers.

The Pack did not take away the run, Nagy did.

Not sure about that, I heard that he looked bad during training camp practices and there were concerns he regressed back. Also, I think Pettine was just following what the Eagles, Patriots, etc. did in the playoffs last year against the RPO.

Its beyond a pattern at this point. I think if Nagy could, he would have (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky throw or scramble 60 times a game and never run the ball. Its as if he doesn't understand what a running back actually does in the offense.

That is the franchise altering question that must be answered this year. Is (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky the guy? If not do they bring in a vet and draft a QB next year to make a run before the D becomes contractually untenable? It would seem that a smart vet QB could run this system better than Mitch. Will likely know by midpoint of the season.

Do we know when/if Andrew Luck comes back, is he able to sign with another team? I know it’s not like he can sign with another team this afternoon but how long is he “under control” by the Colts?

They won twelve games last year because of the defense, not Nagy
