Hmmm....like 4 "warm up" games. I get it!

"Preseason games didn't matter. The defense didn't play in the preseason and they looked good!"

An offensive-minded coach not understanding that there might be a bit more complexity on offense than on defense is a bit concerning.

Nagy still earns the benefit of the doubt after last season, and its definitely possible this team could be 8-2/7-3 in early November. This is not a good showing though. I understand injuries and all that, but twenty snaps by the 1st offensive unit in the preseason likely irons out a few wrinkles and gets a bit of continuity going.

What is up with not kicking a 50 yard FG on a beautiful night with no wind?

Nagy got an F last nite, Mitch got an F.. Just like the Philly game.

Maybe the reason the defense looked great was because Rodgers also didn’t play in the preseason .

Hard to believe the NFL used to have SIX preseason games.

And has a rookie head coach who likely doesn't know what the fuck he's doing either

I'm not sure what benefit he really deserves. They won last year because of Fangio's defense. When they lost in the playoffs, he could not get over the missed field goal. The offense scored once in the game.

This year he has shown zero ability to learn from his mistakes. The first game matters. Getting the bye eliminates the need to play a home wild card game. Yet, for the second year in a row the offense showed up unprepared, rusty, and with no interest in establishing a run game.

Fuck him and the cutesy bullshit misdirections. You have a Super Bowl caliber defense, and rather than play to that strength you draw up shuffle passes to the back-up tight end on third and one or a dive play with a wide receiver.

Well said.

Nagy is going to have to accept the fact that he doesn't the QB to run a KC-type offensive attack.

Montgomery was the best RB on the field last night and played 38% of the snaps. Inexcusable

I still don't get his refusal to attempt to establish a running game. It's like if the running game doesn't explode after a few plays, it's time to pass.

They allowed more yards than the Bears did.

Nagy coaches scared like Maddon manages. If you're going to lose go out with guns blazing.

Olin Kruetz said something interesting kind of regarding this last night on NBCSN. He said that 'sometimes you have to be humbled, and kicked in the mouth to make you realize that you aren't as good as you think you are. And that its going to take a lot of hard work, adjustments, and looking in the mirror to overcome. And that it happened to him "several times" over the course of his career.' (not verbatim, but that was the overall point)

Maybe thats the case here. Maybe they use these last two gut-punch losses as a springboard to get better and wind up 11-5.

11-5 should be good enough for a wildcard, now that Rodgers has a defense

Last night was an embarrassment for the NFL. What a total piece of shit game. The review pass interference is a terrible addition to the game. And the trend of not showing up for pre-season is another mess for the league.

Both teams played like they were unconconscious. So don't really understand what's the issue?

Quick stat making the rounds . No team that has failed to score a TD in their opener has ever won the Super Bowl. Let’s hope year 4 of Mitch is better !

That's not true.

Patriots won the SB that year

And the Bills went 6-10 that year...talk about reversal of fortune.

And the Pats closed out the regular season by beating Buffalo 31-0. Always loved the symmetry of that. That's why I immediately thought of it when I read rogue's post
