Let’s hope he figures that out during this week of practice.

Can't do that when Montgomery is still trying to understand some things about the offense.

Yeah, like trying to understand why the fuck Nagy is using a journeyman scrub over him

Pass blocking and knowledge.

Hell, the QB doesn't understand the offense and he keeps trotting him out there.

You're overthinking it. Rookie RBs dominate from day 1 all the time. And they were praising his pass blocking all of camp

What's so tough about "take ball from center, hand ball to Montgomery, Montgomery runs forward into holes and around defenders"?

You want to throw the ball to him too and not make it as predictable as Howard.

I thought so too but Nagy made it sound like he doesn't understand his assignments well enough to be the featured back.

OK, great. So what?

At some point during the game, run the ball a total of 25-35+ times. Intersperse 20-35 passes when the opportunity presents itself.

This is 2019, I'll settle for a run on 45% of the offensive plays.

He should have an assistant hired just to whisper "run the ball" into his ear the entire game

There's increasing evidence Nagy simply doesn't know how to use his RBs. Jordan Howard was a good player before Nagy got his hands on him

Running the ball is a huge factor in clock management. Simple as that. It helps keep the defense off the field longer "so they can rest medicine". It keeps the clock moving. It keeps the likes of Rodgers on the sidelines longer. It's just part of a well balanced team effort. You want to be an offensive genius? Run the ball more. What the fuck is so difficult?!

You’d think after all the times he answered questions with some variation of “we have to run the ball more, that’s on me” last year we wouldn’t be hearing the same thing after the first game. O/U we’ll hear it 3.5 more times this year.

Wouldn't you think it would be that easy? Especially after doing the same thing a year ago.

yes, but that takes us back to coaches who feel they have to be smarter than everyone else in the room
