That's why they play 16 games. They need someone besides Robinson to get open on offense though.

I don't think he has anything to worry about. I have a feeling the McCaskey's really like him.

The D is great, but I don't think you can win in today's NFL with a second-tier offense. The difference is glaring between the Bears and some of these other teams as far as quick strike capability and skill position talent.

As of now Robinson looks like the only skill position player with starting talent.

I put it on Nagy. The Bears have more skill than they showed.

I don't understand why guys like Gabriel and Patterson get no separation. They both have elite 40 times. I think they are using Gabriel incorrectly as most of his catches seem to be at the LOS where they expect him to break tackles. His 10.3 YPC last year was ridiculous but I cannot remember him really being wide open.

Enough body of work is present to indicate he's a nice guy who will never build a Super Bowl championship team. I'm sure he'll be around Halas hall for many more years to come.

100% agree. This roster is good enough to win, even at QB.

It's up to Nagy and Mitch to get it done.

Yep. "One Read Mitch" shall be his official name going forward.
Bust.

Route runners get separation.

I can't believe they didn't throw at least one bomb to Patterson just to keep Amos honest.

That is true. That game was ridiculous. But I also have to say is that I think the play calling from Nagy may be due to the weakness of the offensive line, namely their tackles. I think that they fear that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is going to get hurt and that is why the play calling is so primitive. To me, though, even that is a lame excuse because the interior of the line is robust and with Montgomery and Cohen they ought to be able to run the ball excellently and do play action with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky off of that. Why they didn't against Green Bay doesn't make any sense to me.

Drafting the 1/3rd of the top quarterbacks who doesn't work out could at least be somewhat excusable if he hadn't been so sure that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was the best of them that he had to give up a lot of draft value in order to make sure he didn't end up with a choice between Mahomes and Watson. Pace was so scared that he would have to draft one of those players that he couldn't even take the 1% chance that someone would have taken (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

Yep. This is what makes Pace a true Caller Bob.

As of today, it appears that the only thing keeping Pace from the unemployment line is the sheer stupidity of the Oakland Raiders.

Raiders are 1-0. Maybe it's time to follow their lead, deal Mack, and start the rebuild.

That is a pretty short sighted thing to say. Outside of Mack, Pace has made some very good roster moves and draft picks. His team is also coming off of a 12 win, division champion campaign.

Let's not forget this is only the second year with a coach Pace himself selected. I'm not willing to say fire the GM simply because they've lost two very winnable games against the Packers to start back to back seasons. Yes the QB seems to be a question mark at best- if not a total miss- but as I said earlier this team is good enough to win a Super Bowl this season with even just average quarterback play.

The defense is great because of Mack.

I hope we never get to find out but it would be great without Mack he just takes it to the next level.
